-Chapter 27-

Caine left for the airport early the next day around 7, he had some business to handle back in Atlanta and said he would be back in a week .. I was glad because it would give me time to get my mind together, catch up on some school work, and hit KOD again for the first time in a while .. My bank account was still looking the same though considering Caine kept money in my pocket, he paid all the bills, & even paid off my car !! Everytime I'd go somewhere to pay a bill they would tell me it was already taken care of ..

Nicolla laid across my bed after she threw her bags down .. We had been shopping at the mall all damn day, It was also our catch up time considering we barely spent time with each other anymore ..

"I need a nap now" I said throwing my bags into my closet ..

"You & me both" Nicolla replied climbing inside of my covers

I got on the other side of the bed and laid down next to her ..

"Have you heard from King since Caine been gone ?" She asked

"Nope"

"What about Caine ?"

"I haven't heard from neither one of them yet .." I said closing my eyes

I didn't care about hearing from them .. I just wanted a break from both of them ..

"Speaking of the devil" she said holding ny phone up

Caine flashed across my screen as I grabbed it out of Icolla's hand

"Hello"

"What you doin ?" He asked

"Laying around with Nicolla, what's up ?"

"Not shit, just checkin up on you .."

"I'm good, why you aint call when you first landed ?"

"I was busy"

"Right" I replied rolling my eyes

"I'm talkin to you now that's all that matters.."

"I guess"

"What you got planned for tonight ?"

"I don't know, maybe just chill with Nicolla" I wasn't about to tell him about KOD .. he was paranoid enough and I knew if he wasnt there with me he wouldn't want me to go. .

"Well aight, I'll call you later"

"Ok"

I looked at Nicolla who was now staring upside my head with a smirk on her face.

"What ?!"

"So you're gonna leave Caine for King ?" She asked.

"Girl, King doesn't know what he wants and Caine is fuckin psycho so Im just going with the flow" I said sinking further into bed

"Who's dick is bigger ?"

I looked at Nicolla and we both busted out to laughing at the same time

"Bitch, you have no chill whatsoever !!" I said shaking my head

"That was a serious question !!"

"Im sure it was Nicolla !!"

"Don't say I didnt try to help !!"

I laughed at her again and kept watching tv ..

Time flew by and before long it was time for us to leave .. I hadn't heard from King nor Caine and I had no complaints about it .. When I made it to KOD it was packed I walked over to the bar to get my usual then headed to the back .. I got dressed as I talked to Nicolla then headed to the stage .. I wasnt feeling being there as much as I was before I left home .. and was already ready to go .. "Nobody" by Keith Sweat came on and I made my appearance from behind the curtain .. My hot pink boy shorts and bra set fitted my body to perfection as I danced to the beat .. For a minute I forgot about all of my problems and just danced, but I quickly got snapped back into reality when I looked out to the crowd and saw King .. he blew out some smoke as he watched me from the VIP area .. I kept dancing trying to forget I even saw him.. The stage was covered in money by the time the song came to a end, and not a bunch of dollar bills either.. more like 20's 50's and 100's like always that brought a smile to my face !!

I disappeared behind the curtain once the song went off and I walked over to my dressing area .. I had 2 missed calls from Caine when Mike hit the corner yelling my name.. I turned to look at him already knowing what he wanted and who wanted it .. I kind of expected it..

"Private dance .. Room 2" he said before walking out

I tossed my phone back in my bag and headed towards the rooms .. Just like I expected, King was sitting there with a blunt hanging out of his mouth .. I walked over to him and stood in front of him with my arms folded..

"What ?"

"What you mean what ?" He asked with a smirk on his face

"You couldn't have came to my house ?" I asked

"I could .. but I need to talk to you right now !!"

"About what ?"

"I want you to quit KOD"

I laughed at him as he kept a straight face ..

"No" I replied

"Why not ?"

"Why would I ?"

"Its bad enough you still fuckin Caine, ion need these mu'fuckas in here recording you and shit .. they can come see you whenever they get ready .. I want you to quit"

"You sure do have allot of demands for you not to even be my man !!" I said

King stood up "Quit, that's all I got to say .. I'll be over tonight .." he headed to the door and looked back at me one last time before walking out the door ..

I sighed and shook my head before heading out behind him .. I got dressed and called Caine back as I walked outside to my car ..

It went to voicemail twice .. the third time I called a female answered the phone ..
