*3 months later*

I was at my doctors appointment, My small yet noticeable bump poked out from underneath my fitted sundress as I sat there scanning through a issue of Ebony Magazine .. Caine was in Atlanta again for a week handling some business so I was alone he said he'd be back the next day .. I had learned to tolerate him .. I was content and that was good enough for me .. It was certain days I missed King but I learned to push him to the back of my mind !! He blew my phone up the first couple of weeks after I sprung the news on him, but after multiple unanswered texts and calls he eventually gave up .. One day the texts and calls just stopped !!

"E'mani Jones" the nurse called my name and I got up following her to the back room

She took my blood pressure and pricked my finger, I had to take a glucose test and I wasn't excited at all to drink that nasty mess they had waiting for me in a bottle on the counter .. but I was more than ready to check on my babygirl !! In a world where everything was falling apart she was the only thing keeping me together ..

I guzzled down the fruit drink as fast as I could .. frowning up at the medicine flavored drink .. I quickly sat the bottle down once I finished and shook my head as if that would dismiss the lingering taste in my mouth ..

"Ok, Ms.Jones you can go back out and wait out front .. in a hour we'll test you again .." I sighed ready to leave out of that doctors office as I went back out to the waiting area taking my seat ..

I sat back down just as my phone vibrated in my purse .. Caine was calling ..

"Hello"

"How babygirl doing ?" He asked

"Fine, Im still doing this damn test .. what are you doing ?" I replied trying to keep my voice down

"Nothin sittin around"

"I thought you had a meeting ?" I asked looking around

"I had to reschedule" Caine answered

"Why?"

I heard Caine sigh on the other end "Let me call you back"

"Really ?"

"Imma call you back E" he hung up and I stuffed my phone back in my bag ..

The hour went by slow as hell .. so when she called me to the back I was relieved to get upb off my ass .. all of my tests came back normal so I was free to go ..

Nicolla was going baby crazy, we had a full 5 months to go and babygirl was already spoiled rotten !! Her aunt Nic would show up at the house with bags full of brand new toys and clothes everyday !!

Caine had bought me a house on the outskirts of Miami, we were in a high class housing complex with multi million dollar homes .. I loved it, not because of our house but because my little girl was already on a good start of having a better future than me .. Caine had her a trust fund already sat up and in this neighborhood she was sure to get into some fancy private school if she kept her grades up ..

I smiled at Nic as i pulled up into the driveway and got out ..

"Hey mama" she smiled

"Hey Nic"

"How's my baby ?" She rubbed my belly as we headed towards the house

"I dont know about her but I'm sleepy !!" I sat my purse down on the floor and headed into the living room

"You're so lame pregnant, all your ass want to do is eat and sleep !!" Sat down

"That's usually how it works Nicolla" I said laughing at her and sitting next to her

"Where's Caine ?"

"Atlanta"

"Nigga stay in the streets" she said turning on the tv

I nodded agreeing with her .. "He'll be back tomorrow !!"

"Them niggas miss them some E'mani at KOD .. I think if they knew who knocked your ass up they would beat they ass" she said making herself chuckle

I laughed and shook my head .. Then my phone vibrated .. it was a text from a unknown number .. but when I read it I knew exactly who it was

"Just checkin on you E, holla if you need me 👑"

"You aight ? You pale as fuck" Nicolla said making me look away from my screen ..

"I'm good" I cleared my throat

"You sure ?"

"Yeah, the baby is just moving allot" I lied standing up because I knew she would try to feel my belly ..

"I wanted to feel" she whined

"Im gonna go lay down Nic, I don't feel good"

"You need anything ?" She asked with concern in her voice

"No, just want to lay down" I headed towards the stairs

"Well ill be down here" she said

"Ok"

I went upstairs and shut my door then layed down .. I couldnt sleep though .. My mind was two places at once ..
