Chapter 6- Trouble

Bella's POV

"Jake. I think we're heading the wrong way, I don't want to get lost again" i said.

He stopped walking and I caught up to him. He put his arm around me as we made our way around the lake with a beautiful view of the waterfall and I saw a picnic had been set up for us just close to the lake, which was surrounded by long green grass and and purple water lilies such a romantic scene.

"Oh Jake, I didn't know you were such a romantic I'm spell bound" I said poking with my elbow in his ribs as we took a seat on the cloth that had been lain out on the grass.

"I have my days" he said smiling all cocky making me laugh several times.

"This is why I love you so much" I said

Jake's face went blank and he looked out over into the horizon.

I took his big hand in mine, laying my free hand on his face tracing his outlines, there was too much tension in his face muscles.He didn't quite meet my gaze, he was in his own little world,I willed him to look at me.

"Jake whats wrong?" I said

"I've been thinking Bella, about Edward, what would you do if he came back?" he asked looking all nervous while he fidgetted with the grass on his side.

"Jake, not now please" I said  frustratedly

"Yes now,tell me, would you stay with me or go, I need to know where I am situated in your life" he said with a child-like face so innocent it hurt me just to look at him.

"Jake don't you know that i'm with you because I love you" I said as I got up and gave him my back

He got up behind me and turned me around to face him.

"But is it enough?" he asked still with his hand on my chin urging me to look him in his eyes.

Edward's POV

As I was on the chase for my lunch, since I was going to meet Bella, I needed to feed well.My predator instinct had kicked in as I targeted the deer the closest to me and just when I was about to attack I heard voices and then it was clear when I heard Jacob's mind screaming curses at me and his awful odour that had filled the air irritated my nostrils, so I followed his smell to be welcomed by Bella's scent and she was angry I could tell by her physique and he held her chin, this confirmed that they were a couple and this made me more mad but wasn't this what I wanted for Bella to move on and have a normal life, well this was as normal as it could get and I was going to ruin it once again.

I focused my attention on the conversation.

"Of course it is, you don't trust me Jake, if Edward left me its because he didn't love me enough but you and I are different and you have to trust me" I heard her saying

"I trust you Bella, its me I don't trust" I heard the selfish idiot say and he seemed to be retreating.

"Jake, all I can tell you is that we are together because we want to be, now you either learn to trust yourself because I know for a fact I won't leave you" she screamed at him.

His body started vibrating but I could see him fighting himself, as he forced himself to get closer to her and lay a hand on her lips, I turned and ran into the forest I couldn't stand this as much as it felt right,it felt wrong as well, I had to go away.

Bella's POV

His fingers were trembling as he fought himself for me,to protect me.I placed my hand on his arm, urging him to meet my gaze.
