Chapter 10- Party

"Oh c'mon Jake everyones down stairs waiting for us" I said

Its Jake's birthday so I arranged a party. I even got Jake to wear a Tux and in return I wore a purple halter neck cocktail dress with black flats.

"Do we have to do this?" he said trying to undo his tie, I had to put my hand on it to stop him from doing it.

"You look adorable, look at me do you think I enjoy wearing this dress, now c'mon lets get down there and have fun" I said grabbing his hand and pulling him along with me.

When we got to the living room everyone had smiles on their faces.It was such a grant view, my friends, the pack and Charlie along with Emily, Sam's fiance.

I let him hang with his friends and have his moment while I did the same.

After a while I pulled him to me and told him it was time, I'll admit I was nervous as hell I just put on my happiest face.

I tapped my spoon on the glass that I had been holding just to keep an appearance.

Everyone eventually settled down and faced us.

I took a deep breath and rubbed Jake's arm, he flashed me an encouraging smile I nodded.

I smiled nervously, I could feel a twitch coming on and had to fight it with all my might.

"Ah...yes... And I would...I mean we would like to officially make our relationship known to everyone" I managed to choke out after an immense time of stuttering.

People smiled, some frowned but Charlie was smiling so was Billy so I was glad that we finally got to be known and acknowledged by the closest people to our hearts.

Charlie approached us with a hug though he play punched Jake on the arm, I think it hurt Charlie more then it hurt Jake because I could see Charlie try to smile even with slight pain that was obvious in his face.

"I'm so glad for you guys, although I got to warn you Jacob if you hurt my baby I'll tie you against the tree just outside and whipe you with my whipe that I got in the basement until you die" he said it almost looked like he was joking but for some reason I had a feeling he wasn't.

"oh cut it out dad, Jake would never hurt me" I said almost unsure myself, Jake gave me a simpathetic smile.

"I'm serious Bells, you let me know and I'll hunt him down..." dad started to say but Billy being the unpredictable self he is came rolling down to us.

He stopped just beside Charlie.

"Bella, I'm glad that you gave my boy a chance and just like my old boy here if Jacob tries anything funny just let me know and I'll shoot him down with my gun" he said with a chuckle

"Oh c'mon dad not you too, don't ruin my night I'm trying to have fun here and you guys aren't helping at all" he said acting all hurt.

By some weird force I looked up the living room window and saw Edward's silhouette, I had to double check just to make sure it made me anxious too.

I pulled my hand out of Jake's grasp and before I took off I came up with the lamest excuse.

"um...I got to go to the toilet be back soon" I said and I started to take off but Jake caught my arm with a firm grip.

"let me take you" he said, in fact he was begging with his eyes.

I had to think fast.

"um no its fine, I'm just in the house talk with charlie them, I won't take long" I said freeing myself from his grip and I had to almost run out the house to get away from him and to my suprise I found Edward standing by my truck I made my way to his side briefly.

His face was emotionless though or he was just good at hiding it.

"A party, huh?" he said when I stopped in front of him.

"Yip, Jake's growing" I said laughing at my own personal joke, Jake doesn't age.

"I can see that, so how do we do this friendship thing does Jake know" he said with a breathtaking grin, I had to look away to answer.

"Yes...No...he knows you're in town but he doesn't know your motive" I said

I then heard footsteps and saw Jake stopping a few steps from us.

"What are you doing here?" he growled.

"why do you care?" Edward replied

That drove Jake even over the edge.

"Get out of here leech, I don't want to see you here ever..." Jake growled approaching us.

"Not until Bella says it" Edward said

"GET OUT OF HERE NOW LEECH!" Jacob yelled.

"Is that what you want Bella?" Edward asked, I was caught at crossroads what do I do, I love then both.

"Its me or him Bella " Jake said

"arg...Both of you stop it!" I yelled stopping between them making a barrier.

"I'm going to go back inside and enjoy the rest of party and forget this confrontation ever happened and I'll tell you one thing though if you don't learn to get along with each other then you can both forget about me" I said and retreated to the house.

Neither of then said anything so I assumed they were deep in thought or something.

I put on the most convincing smile I could alter eventhough I was atoned by everything that was happening outside and entered the house.

The party wasn't long people started to disperse after sometime and I retreated to my room and I didn't see neither Jake nor Edward after that.
