Twilight-New moon (If I had chosen Jacob)

Chapter 4- A New beginning

I could avoid Jake for as long as I could and go back to Jacksonville to Renne and Phil or I could stay and confront Jake.

I was lost in thought stirring the cereal in my bowl, when Charlie walked in murmuring something about him going early to walk I just nodded absent- mindedly as he gave me a kiss on my forehead and walked off.

It was monday so I had school so I would worry about Jake later.I had missed out on a lot of work already and I needed to catch up.

So I sprung up and ran hesitantly to my room for my bag pack and when I came down to the kitchen Jake stood there this time he wore a black shirt and yet again a cut off short.

"Jake what are you doing here" I said as I walked into the kitchen door.

He shifted his weight from his left leg to the right and fidgeted with his fingers as though he were agitated.

"Look Bella even though we aren't on good terms I have to protect you because its my duty so don't be such an ass" he said

I just stared at him, boy did he have guts to actually come to my house and insult me.

I moved even closer that I could even feel his body heat radiating throughout the kitchen maybe even further and I made sure there was at least a cm distance between us because I didn't want to do anything I would regret much less now.

"I don't need your protection, I'm perfectly fine without you being here" I said staring him down.

He moved a little closer closing the distance that had been between us, I didn't back away I stood my ground. 

Then Jake got down on his knees making me think he was about to propose...

"Bella do I make you happy?" he said firstly taking my hand and resting it on his one knee.

"You do" I said staring at him intentionally.

"then why are you trying so hard to push me away?" he said

"I'm not pushing you away Jake" I said

"Then Bella I want to let you know that I love you and I know you do too" he said

I didn't refuse neither did I confirm I just stood there like a lifeless person.

"Then Bella do me the honour of being my girlfriend I promise to protect you and love you for as long as I can" he said all in one jumbled up sentence

I thought about it long enough that the hours seemed to pull like days.

Then I finally nodded my head and Jacob swept me off my feet literally and carried me to my truck.

He stood by my truck's window.

"so Mrs Black I hope you don't make trouble at school, i'll see you later" he said

I started the truck and it made a funny noise making both me and Jake laugh.

"We need to talk about your truck too it looks like a death mobile" he said giggling.

"So you also want to get rid of my truck, huh, not going to happen" I said as the ignition started.

"Oh C'mon Bells, I'm serious this thing will kill you someday" He said

"Okay you'll have to fix it though"I said as he lay in and kissed me softly.

Then traced my face line and whispered.

"What would you do without me" it wasn't a question but as soon as he walked back into the house and was out of right I whispered.

"I honestly don't know Jake. I really don't" Then I drove off to the school and to face my friends after such a long time.
