Chapter 7- Complications

He didnt move, he was stationary at his spot.

"Bella..." I heard him whisper and yet I felt like he was distant from me.

I walked over to him but I kept a limited amount of distance between us.

"Edward, you came back" I said

"I had to make sure you were okay, you keep disappearing in Alice's visions" He said

"I'm still alive if thats what you're worried about " I said.

"I can see that" he said.

"Anything else" I asked frustratedly.

"I missed you Bella" He finally said the words I wanted to hear and he tried to touch my arm but I jerked him off and stared him right in the eyes.

"Why? You left me Edward" I said taking some hair out of my face.

"For a good reason" He said

"And what exactly is that Edward, you left me wounded and broken" I screamed at him

"Things weren't working out right, my world is too dangerous for you Bella, I couldn't risk that" He said

"And why exactly did you come back, to tell me the same goodbye again and then what?" I said, I was furious indeed I had had enough.

"No, I came back to win you back Bella.I need you" he said.

"I need you too Edward..." I whispered

He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me into his chest, man did I miss that.

He lowered his head and just when our lips were so close to touching I pulled back resting my head on his chest, I whispered;

"I can't... This wouldn't be fair to Jake"

He led me go slowly and when I met his gaze, I could see he was in pain but he had a corky smile on his face.

"I knew this would happen" he said

I looked at him bewildered.

"Am I that predictable?" I asked

"Yeah..." he said with a little chuckle.

"Then why'd you try kissing me?" I asked

"You are my Bella, Somethings I know but others I don't, you know I can't read your mind so that was the only way to be sure" he said

"Seriously Edward there were about hundred other things you could've done either then trying to kiss me" I said

"Question is would you have admitted, you're pretty stuborn Bella" he said

"No I'm not" I said

"See what I mean?" he asked

I laughed.

Then we walked to the place we had lain when I first found out he was a vampire, where we had lain and we lay the same way and the sun illuminated against his skin making beautiful sparkles, it was so mesmerizing.

"You know Edward, Jake's not going to like the news that you're back" I said

He smiled, man did he look adorable.

"I know, I'll leave if you want me to" he said

"I don't want you to go but I don't want trouble between you guys either" I said sifting closer to him.

He began tracing up my jaw line to my hairline.

"My beautiful Bella is growing up" he said

which made me realize what exactly that meant of course I was aware I was aging, I was 3months away from my 19 birthday, I wasn't getting any younger neither was Jake getting any older this was such a big mistake I needed to talk to Jake about it.

Edward's cold hand on my neck totaly brought me back to him, I noticed his eyes were black too which totaly explained why he had been avoiding touching me until recently when we almost kissed.

"You didn't feed Edward" I said

He smiled yet again which totaly melted me inside.

"Actually I did, you're scent is kind of very strong right now and you know I have to adjust to it, its been long" he said

"I'm sorry" I automatically said

He pulled me in and placed a soft kiss on my forehead sending millions of cold shock waves through my body.

"Bella...Bella...Bella" he said taking me in a hug and we lay in that embrace until the sun went down.

He walked me to my car, I explained to him everything that had happened when he was gone, he was really fascinated.

I told him that I'd see him the next day hopefully if Jake didn't freak he agreed and then took off.

I drove home in utter silence, no music whatsoever just me and my crazy thoughts.

I wasn't suprised when I found Jake standing in the middle of the road, I half stopped the car and he jumped in.

We didnt talk, I think he knew what had happened.

We made it home safely, he told me we would talk in my room and so I went up to my room and he climbed up from the window of course.

He stood by the window not making sudden movements.

I sat on my bed.

"Where were you, I was worried pick searching for you?" he asked.

I looked at him and just whispered;

"Edwards back..."

His face went totaly blank.
