Luke's POV:

I felt to bus come to a stop when I woke up. I grinned and dragged myself out of bed. That stop meant we were in Leesburg. I looked out my window and saw we were at Mamaws. I hopped in the shower fast and got out fast.

I stepped outside and immediately heard the birds chirping. I looked over and observed the little house that was once my home. I started walking to the steps and Mamaw met me half way. Behind her stood, Daddy, Lee, Jordan, Kris, and tiny Til.

I walked up the final step before everyone came and hugged me one by one. Mamaw, Pa, Lee, then the kids who all just hung onto a limb of mine. "Uncle Luke, Uncle Luke!"

"What is it Til?" I questioned bending down.

He came up to my ear and whispered, "Jordan has a boyfriend—."

"Jordan has a what?!" I jumped up and looked around for her.

"Yeah Jordan has a what?!" Lee yelled. I ran after her because she took off running towards Daddy's barn.

"Jordan Cheshire you better not have any boyfriends!" I yelled chasing her around the old peanut fields.

"Don't tell Daddy!" She shouted back.

Just as she turned back around she came to a complete stop because by surprise Lee jumped in front of her.

"Don't tell Daddy what?" Lee asked. Til came out and started laughing at the whole situation.

"Til you big dummy!" She yelled at him.

"Whose this boyfriend Jordan?" I crossed my arms out of breath.

"He's not my boyfriend, he's just a friend and his names Christopher." She said.

"No. No boyfriends!" Lee scolded.

I walked away I didn't wanna be there if it got any uglier than before I couldn't play the good guy on both sides. I walked back over to Til and Kris.

"Uncle Luke?" Til asked me.

"What's up?"

"Do you have a girlfriend?" He smiled.

"No boy, and neither should you." I told him.

"I don't, girls are nasty!" He ran off to go play somewhere leaving me with quiet Kris.

"So what about you Kris."

"What about me?"

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"The boys in my class are immature, sound and act like little girls, not to mention they're I.Q. scores are as big as their muscles. Tiny."

"Damn! You go Kris."

"I know I go. Ain't nobody gotta tell me." She sassed smiling.

"You're too funny." I walked inside and had lunch with everyone before going to sound check.

"Uncle Luke?" Kris asked.

"Yeah?"

"Is it alright if I go with you to sound check?"

"I don't see a problem as long as your daddy is alright with it." She glanced towards Lee who smiled and shook his head yes.
