Caroline's POV:

It was dark outside, I was surrounded by tall pine trees that swayed with the cool wind that made me shiver. My arms were the only things that were supplying warmth given that I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and shorts.

"Caroline!" I heard Luke shout from a distance.

"Mama! Mama look!" A smaller sounding voice yelled.

"I'm coming Luke." I replied back to his voice quickly sprinting in the direction I heard the hollering. The closer I got I began to hear sounds of children laughing.

"Mama! Mama! Look! I make Bobo's laugh Mama!" A toddler that resembled Luke giggled as he ran towards me. I could make out his light brown hair and big brown eyes that looked exactly like Luke's as I picked up this little boy.

"Mama, I made Bobo's laugh." The brown haired boy said pointing towards a tall dark figure.

I put the child in my arms down and walked towards where he'd first pointed. Luke's features began to stick out as I slowly strolled closer to him.

"Look Bobo it's your Mama, baby boy." Luke said kissing the baby's forehead.

He placed this newborn into my arms. This little boy looked different from the last. He had beautiful blue eyes but darker brown hair. I held the baby and looked into his eyes as he cooed. My ankles weren't swollen, my stomach felt flat, and my back along with feet no longer hurt.

The best guess I could take was this was my baby. No this was our baby, Luke's and I. His little giggle echoed around me before being shut out by a loud ringing sound that now filled my ears.

I twitched around until I finally had woken up. Luke was sitting on the side of the bed rubbing his face before shutting off the alarm on his phone. His hair was all over the place and he sat in nothing but underwear, marks and indents on his back from laying on the sheets.

I rolled closer to him and ran my hand down his back to get his attention. He sprung his back and made eye contact with me before smiling.

"Good morning baby." He leaned down and kissed me.

"Morning." I replied.

"It's only 7, I have to be at the studio by 8... I'll be home around 8 and 9 at the latest." He frowned.

"As long as you're getting what your need done." I smiled at him.  "Besides I could catch up on laundry from Wednesday's trip from Leesburg."

"Don't worry about it, take a day to relax you've been running around all week looking for gifts for everyone. I'll take care of everything when I get home." He said rubbing his thumb over my cheek.

"Luke, you know I'm not gonna do that." I said sitting up.

"It was worth a try, okay now I really gotta get going or I'm gonna be late." He jumped up and kissed me before walking off to the shower.

I cooked him up some pancakes and left them on the table with warm syrup and strawberries with whip cream on top. I managed to get upstairs just as he was finishing up shaving his scruff. I went to the unopened suitcases that had been sitting there for nearly 2 weeks and began unpacking them.

I separated darks from lights, delicates, etc. and threw them into their own separate baskets and dragged them downstairs into the laundry room. The house was clean for the most part so I didn't worry about that. I was on my phone before I zoned out and ended up falling asleep.

Luke's POV:

I replayed the conversations between both of my father and soon to be father in law. My mind drew a blank through the whole studio session and I could tell Kerri was about ready to pull out her hair.

Most of the guys that were with me were far from sober and it was only 12. I threw my headphones back onto the mic and exited the booth. Kerri gave me an annoyed stare when I came into her presence.

"Luke do what your heart tells you. Your heart is what led you to be in the position you are now. Your heart led you to your dream career, your dream girl. Now your hearts telling you to make sure she'll forever and always be yours just like your achievements that got you where you are today. Follow your heart son... you're doing a hell of a job so far at it." I kept hearing Daddy repeat every time I stepped into the booth.

"Carter let's go!" I shouted across the room.

Him and I headed into the truck and I drove straight to Joshua my jeweler I'd had for both my watches and for when I felt the time for Carol and I was right.

"How's it going Luke?" Josh asked with a bright smile.

"It's been going very well actually, so well that I'm here for another big step." I shook Josh's hand.

"Really? Alright buddy let's go to the back room and discuss what you're looking for I'll give you a variety to choose from." He replied guided Carter and I back.

***

Finally after sometime later I'd found what I wanted. It was everything she described according to Carter and Whitney who we called for extra help on the phone.

There it was, the next thing that'll push our relationship into the final destination. The ring, the ring that would bring us closer. The ring that would bind our love together forever. All that was left was a way to propose.

When I'd arrived home at 9 Caroline was well asleep I placed the ring into an old guitar case in my office and wrapped up 2 other presents that I'd kept for years to go along with the ring. These were only gonna be kept hidden in the office just so she wouldn't catch any ideas.

As I started my way towards the stairs I saw 5 different presents under the tree that I hadn't wrapped. All had my name on them from her I smiled and jogged up the stairs. She looked peaceful so I slipped right into bed beside her making sure to give her and the baby and kiss goodnight before drifting off.
