Luke's POV:
I had a whole month to myself just to have fun and relax before I had to be back in Tennessee starting up a new album that I had little idea what it'd be based around. I pulled the truck up to the window and paid $8.75 for some breakfast burritos that Caroline and I could have.
I drove back to her house where she was outside sitting on her porch swing scrolling through her phone in a big blanket. I met her half way trotting through the freshly fallin leaves that were scattered throughout the yard.
I walked us back to the swing and kicked off my boots then got under the warm blanket. She sat between my legs and laid her head back on my chest as we swung back and forth eating in silence. The only noise was the sound for food being munched on.
After I was finished eating I laid back and looked at the colors spread throughout the ground. I got up and went into the garage where I found an old rake. I came back out and raked up all of the leaves that the yard had acquired throughout the beginning of fall.
Caroline sat and watched me put each of the leaves into large piles then place them into bags which I ended up throwing into the back of my truck.
"I wanna go visit Kelly and Chris today, will you come with me?" I asked lifting Caroline and taking her inside.
"I'd be glad to." She smiled.
We got dressed and headed out the door I helped her inside my truck then got in myself. I wanted to go get some lawn chairs from Mamaw to sit out and talk to Chris and Kelly.
I put the truck in park and walked into Mamaw's to quickly grab the chairs Lee happened to be over with the kids and said he might drop by later on to take them to go visit Kelly.
Next stop was the flower shop then the gas station for some beer and juice boxes. I got Kelly's favorite flowers which were yellow dandelions, I got Chris some too.
We finally made it to, "Leesburg Cemetery." I drove to the squared off area where Chris and Kelly's gravestones were. I set up our lawn chairs and sat down before pulling out the ice chest to crack open a beer.
"Hey y'all... it's been a minute since I've visited here. Ive been meaning to but it's hard with everything goin on in my everyday life. I don't know if Daddy and Mamaw have talked to y'all about what I've been doin but I made it. I made it to where I'd dreamed to be as a little kid. Remember those stories I used to tell y'all when we'd sit down at the old peer in the back of the woods? They all came true like y'all said they would. I held on to the little hope and love I was left with and made it big. I've sold out tons of arenas and stadiums. I couldn't of done it without y'all." I began to choke up but continued on talking.
"We all miss you both. Every single one of us. The kids, Lee, Mamaw and Daddy. We love you lots and it's been hard but we cope through it. The kids man all 3 of them talk about how they miss you Kells. We teach them about what you were like too Chris how you were the best big brother anyone could ask for. They've all gotten so big. And Kells It was like just yesterday when you let me hold baby Jordan and now she's tall and beautiful just like you. Kris is the same way she has your shy yet open personality. Til well Til is the baby in the family still and has your facial features especially when he gets happy. His eyes brighten up like yours did Chris, and his smile resembles yours Kelly. I wish y'all were still here we could've be sitting around a fire laughing and bonding over what we'd done as kids. With you both being gone I've realized that I'll never get over it, it just becomes easier to cope with. The way I see it is as God picks his Favorite Flowers first."
