Caroline's POV:
Stretched out on the bed next to me was Luke, he looked so peaceful and comfy while he was sleeping. It was gonna be a hectic day since we were about to have 1 kid and 2 teens running around the house soon. I planted my aching feet on the ground and threw my arms in the air before falling back on the bed and landing on Luke.
"Merry Christmas." I said to him as he stirred and slowly began showing his big brown eyes.
"Merry Christmas Lovely." He sat up kissing me.
"What time is it?" He asked in a groggy voice.
"8:46, everyone starts rolling in around 10." I replied rubbing his bare chest.
"Mmm, ok... Let's shower get some coffee then open the presents we'd gotten each other." He said popping up out of bed.
"Sounds like a plan."
I grabbed my pj's that matched Luke's along with a towel then skipped off to the shower while Luke separated the presents and started up the coffee.
Luke's POV:
I slipped on some pajama pants and trotted down the stairs to the living room. I dug behind the tree for my 2 hidden presents I'd previously had in my old guitar case.
They were all wrapped in gold paper and stacked on top and tied together with a ribbon. I placed them back into my work room and finished separating everyone's gifts.
Til's was furthest to the left then Kris had hers, Jordan's, And I just placed Peanuts 5 presents with mine and Carols.
Just as I'd finished pouring out Carols coffee she slid down the tile in her socks right into me. Her hair was beautifully pulled up into her usual messy bun and no make up on, just the way I like her, el natural.
"I'm gonna go shower while you enjoy this morning cup of coffee then I'll run down so we can open our presents before the plane lands and I gotta go get the children." I leaned down kissing her head.
"Kk." She said with a cookie in her mouth.
When I'd finally finished getting ready and came down stairs I sipped my coffee and met Carol in the living room. I sat in the opposite direction of her downing the rest of my now cold coffee.
"Ok, you go first...open this one!" I said excited pushing the one with a new dress in it.
"Alright!" She said excited. She ripped off the paper eagerly to see what I'd gotten her. She peeled back the cardboard box and pulled apart the tissue paper and pulled out the white and gold dress Jordan insisted I'd get her.
"I love it!" She shouted happily. "Thank you Luke." She said leaning over and kissing my cheek.
"You're welcome baby. I love you too." I smiled at her.
We decided on flying down just the kids for Christmas because Mamaw doesn't get along too well with Daddy's new wife and Lee said he wanted a little time off since he's been having some serious chest pain.
I got through security fast and arrived at the gate 5 minutes before they'd landed. I was sitting down scrolling through my phone before I head 3 kids yell.
"Uncle Luke!" All 3 of them yelled dog piling me with tons of hugs.
"Hey kiddos, y'all ready to go open some presents.
"Yeah I've been dying!" Til smiled.

We got home fast and I showed everyone to their rooms before we began with all the fun.
