The text: John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
The message: In those moments when I have nothing left to offer but brokenness, when I feel like I'm not good enough or that I don't measure up, it is then that He remindes me that the BEST is yet to come. When all I see in the days ahead is pain and suffering, it is then that He wraps me in his arms and promises that He will NEVER leave me. When I cry out to God, "LORD save me!" and when I feel as though I am drowning in my grief, it is then that He streches out His arm and rescues me. When I am plagued by fears and regrets and when I am hurting, it is then that He heals me. When I cannot understand what He is doing in my life or I am so deep in worry that I don't feel His presence, it is then that He surrounds me with His love and grace and reminds me that He is in control. It is He that holds my life in the palm of His hand and it is He that promises me that even though "in this life [I] will have troubles, take heart because [He] has overcome the world." (John 16:33)
