[Part 12]

Kay didn't know if it was a risky move, but he didn't really care as he strolled back on the grounds of Washington with a pocketful of information that could pull the world to its feet. He would admit; he admired Jean-Jacques's ability to accumulate so much earth-shattering information, and how the man had appeared so cool and composed when he was unable to get to these information.

Jean-Jacques was definitely a man who was used to dealing with secrets that could upset the entire globe –Kay decided. Then again, the Head of Securities of the NA Council did have the appropriate ability to encrypting his devices. Kay had almost been worried of destroying the important information when he teleported all around the globe to find someone who would decipher the encryption put on the information. It was only after hours of searching, hundreds of phone calls to different contacts made, and millions spent did Kay manage to hire himself a top-class technician and encoder who spent a few more hours cracking the encryption codes with the 'state of the art' technology.

Still, Kay had managed to find out the information held within the little device held in his pocket, and had managed to replace the encryption on the files the same way it was input so it would appear untouched. After all, he had gained a chip in negotiating with the NA Council, and he would bide his time for the perfect moment. Even if Vanda hated him.

He walked up the soft courtyard leading to the mansion, unafraid of the countless security tapes alerting everyone in the mansion of his arrival. He had no doubt that Jean-Jacques would quickly be informed of his arrival, and that was his plan. Granted, he had also wanted to get a peek of the living conditions of the NA Council members.

Kay knew he would have triggered a trap if he stepped directly forwards, and so he carefully took a few steps to the side, choosing his steps meticulously to ensure that he wouldn't trigger an electrocutions, or any stunning devices. Kay also knew that the front steps of the porch triggered a mass of garlic gas, and so he evaded those, opting to vault over the verandah.

He reached the entrance just as the door opened, showing a thoroughly confused unfamiliar-looking vampire. Kay smiled politely as the man looked him up and down once, assessing him seriously, and then seemed to decide that if Kay was a Russian, he would be dead. With a quick mutter, he retrieved his phone from his pocket, and tapped a few buttons on the screen while Kay watched on.

"The alarms are off." The man announced after a short while, pocketing the phone again. "Merde, Jean-Jacques is going to kill me for letting you in."

Kay couldn't suppress his smirk at that thought. He was never a real fan of Jean-Jacques after all, and listening to both Vanda and Roger-Luc had somehow influenced him into a friendly-mischievous viewpoint of the man.

"I don't mind pissing him off." Kay answered, nodding graciously to his host as the man opened the door, strangely accepting of strangers who came dodging all traps and knocking on their door.

"You'll make great friends with Dante, Vanda, Chris and Roger-Luc, then." Kay's host answered with a gentlemanly snort, closing the door behind him, then gesturing him forwards to what Kay assumed was a sitting room. The couches with splayed out facing each other, though Kay got a general sense that it wasn't well-used given how new they still looked. "May I have the pleasure of your name and your objective here?"

Kay decided he liked the old-time politeness of his host and gave a gracious bow in greeting that his host replied quickly more on instincts than anything. Almost instantly, Kay pinned the vampire to be considered old, a vampire who was made at least a thousand years ago.
