Chapter 3


My Ex-boyfriend Ben. He had moved away last year. He had finished our relationship 2 days beforehand had moved away. He left me heart broken but that's what life throws at you. I got over him a couple of months after he moved away.
"Summer?"
"Hey Ben, how are you?"
"I'm good how are you?"
"I'm alright."
He just nodded. It was now getting awkward. I haven't seen him for a year.
"So when did you get here?"
"Two weeks ago."
"You like it so far?"
"Yeah, it's alright I guess."
He just nodded. This was getting awkward and fast.
"Did you want to hang out with me and my friends until you find your own?"
"Umm yeah sure..."
I followed him into the cafeteria. We were headed for a table with three other boys. When we were close enough to the table, one of the boys looked up and it looked like he was checking me out.
"Jake, eyes up here. Not on her body"
The guy named Jake looked down at his hands and went red in the face. I giggled and looked back up at Ben.
"Summer, this is Jake, Dean and Jimmy. Boys this is Summer"
"Is this the chick you keep talking about back from your hometown?"
"Yes..."
Jake asked the most obvious question. I looked Ben in the eyes and looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"Busted!!"
Dean said. I looked away from Ben and down at my feet. Suddenly, my feet were more interesting than this conversation.
'So Summer, how long have you been in England for?"
I think that was Jimmy that asked that.
"Umm well about two weeks."
He nodded his head and smiled. Ok...

The bell went for lunch and I was starving. Who ever created so many classes before lunch must be crazy because I was starving! I love my food and if any one gets in the way, they better take cover. Any way, as I made my way towards the cafeteria, some one came up to me and wrapped their arm around my shoulders. I looked over to see Jake. I shook my head and kept walking.
"Hey new girl, you hanging out with us at lunch?"
I looked over at him, smiled and nodded my head. he did a little victory dance.
"Why are you so happy?"
Now that just sounded plain rude! Stupid Summer! Nice way to start off a conversation!
"Cause it's lunch time! I'm always happy at lunch."
"You and me both."
'You like your food?"
"I love it with every bone in my body."
"Yes!! Finally!"
"What?"
"A girl that loves her food! Every girl that I have met, says that they don't like food that much, and they would rather be on a diet than eat all the food that I eat."
"Well their just crazy! Because I would rather die than go on a diet. ok that just made me sound like a fatty!"
I laughed at my comment and so did Jake. Jake was a nice guy. He was in most of my classes as well as Ben. No one in my classes have attempted to be friends with me yet, but I'm a patient girl, I'm sure they will get to know that I'm friendly. Even though I was popular at my old school, it's harder making friends at a different one.
"Summer!"
I shook my head and got out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, sorry I was thinking. You were saying?"
"I was saying that we should hang out some time after school or something?"
I nodded my head and put a smile on my face.
"Sure, that would be nice. When were you thinking of?"
"How about tonight we go to the movies?"
