Why?-Chapter14

It's around the late afternoon when I hear a slight knock at the hotel door. I slowly and cautiously make my way towards the door to open it. When I do, Jake is standing there looking impatient.

"Summer, you need to come with me."

"What? Why?

"Because I said so. Don't ask questions."

I nod my head. I need to do as I'm told, I need to act like nothing is going on. I need to act like Ben isn't coming to get me out of here.

"Can I ask something?

Jake looks at me weird.

"What?"

"Why did you get your friends or whatever they are, to come and get me? Why didn't you do that yourself?"

He stops walking and looks me in the eye. He doesn't say anything at first and opens his mouth to say something, but decides against it and just keeps walking. So he's going to play this game? I can too... Wait.. No. I can't. I have to play it safe. Ben is coming. Hopefully... Why does England have to be so complicated? Australia was never this complicated for me. I've never been in this sort of situation and I don't know what to do. I want to go home. The food the lady gave me, I didn't eat and I haven't touched the food in my bag. I don't want to. I'm afraid I'll be sick. Why isn't he saying anything? I need to know what the hell is going on and what he plans do to with me.

"Why won't you tell me anything?"

Once again he stopped walking and looked at me.

"Some things aren't meant to be shared. And this is one of them. So please, I don't want to hurt you. So, stop asking questions."

I just nod my head and we both keep walking. I don't dare to ask another thing.  What does he mean by 'I don't want to hurt you'? I am so confused. I just want Ben to hurry up and get here. It's been about 5 hours since I've been in contact with Ben, and I don't know if he has made progress in coming and getting me. I need a way out of here without being caught...

It's late afternoon and Ben still hasn't come. What is he doing? I am alone in the room and i hate it... I never thought i would hate being alone, but i do... I need Ben to get here now. I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. It's a text message from Ben.

To Summer:

Hey, i have organised a group to come and get you. We have had to get into Jake's group and say that we are the transfer group to take you somewhere else. But we are actually going to be taking you home.

From: Ben

YAY! Finally! I've been here all day and i just want to go home and sleep. I'm tied of doing nothing. All i had to do was sit tight and wait. Who knows how long he would take. All i can do is sit here and wait for his help to come to me. 

It's been an hour and i am still in the room... By myself. It's dark outside now, and I'm starting to get worried. What if he doesn't turn up. What if they got caught. There's a knock at my door, interrupting me from my thoughts. 

I go towards the door and take a deep breath. I open it and there is a tall figure standing in front of me. I look up at the man and notice that he has a beard and blue eyes. 

"Come with me miss." 

I do as I am told and walk out of the door, closing it behind me. I follow quietly, careful not to make a sound. We walk out of the building and into a black van. There are two other guys in the van with us, but i don't recognize either of them. We drive off and after a while, one speaks. 

"Where are we taking her?"

"To Ben's house, just like he said." 

The other guy just nods his head.

"You can speak ya know?"

I just nod my head and look out of the window. 

"Thank you..." 

I say loud enough for them to hear me. The trees are moving by quickly, too fast for my eyes to see every single one of them. I can feel my eyes slowly shutting close. I didn't realize how tired i was until now. I let my eyes close and let my mind wonder, as i drift of to a deep slumber...

So... It's been ages since I last posted anything and for that I am deeply sorry! I am now in my last year of high school and will be incredibly busy! But I promise that I will upload as regularly as possible!
