Forgetful

"I told you we should do the project like THAT!" Jimin circled his messily doodled worksheet with a red pen. The paper crinkled as the pen ran forcefully over the paper.

Jimin and his groupmates for their History project were having a "post-failure" meeting after the massive fail of the project. The whole group consisting of Jimin, Yoongi, Seokjin, Namjoon and Hoseok lost almost all their marks for the subject.

"Shut up, Jimin. I am the leader, not you." Namjoon snorted, taking Jimin's paper and threw it down in disgust. "I don't even think people will understand you with that way of presentation. We might just fail even more."

"...YOU!" Jimin sat down with a huff, face flushed with anger. And maybe sorrow? Maybe?

"Actually Jiminie, the project failed because of YOU. Because of you, PARK JIMIN." Namjoon spat at Jimin. Jimin was about to stand up and argue, but he remained still. "I believe the others agree with me."

Jimin was silent because Namjoon, even though he's being a jerk, was absolutely right. If Jimin didn't forget his lines, the others won't mess up their lines too and missed the biggest point of the presentation. Jimin was really guilty already, but well, Namjoon being confident that they would score high with that presentation, was furious.

Jimin lifted his head. He looked at the others, not daring to make eye contact with anyone. He could almost see Hoseok and Seokjin staring at him with mock sympathy. They must had hated him already.

And Yoongi...Yoongi wasn't any other one. He was his crush since he first entered high school. Now he had let down everyone in his group including his very crush. Jimin felt that he couldn't even face him again.

Namjoon kept roaring with rude words that included calling Jimin useless, and that "his IQ shouldn't have allowed him to stay in the first class". Well, we all had to agree that that was really insulting, especially Jimin, because he was one of the top students of class.

Jimin's dignity and pride was crumbling little by little, but he struggled to stay calm and emotionless. Worse of all, no one, not even Yoongi, stood up against Jimin to stop Namjoon.

Everyone of them knew his situation. Jimin was a little bit forgetful. Forgetful to the point that he could forget what he had said three minutes ago. That kind of explained why Jimin forgot his lines. He couldn't help it.

As Namjoon stopped momentarily to drink his water, Jimin said as politely and as calmly as possible to all of them, "Please excuse me for 5 minutes. I'm very sorry." And then he walked away as steadily as possible away from their classroom.

There was no one at the corridor, but Jimin couldn't risk anything. He walked faster and faster, until he reached the toilet. The moment he closed the door of one of the cubicles, loud sobs escaped his mouth and tears streamed down his face.

Jimin tried to keep his voice down and stabilize his breath, but he couldn't seem to do that. Guilt ate him as he crouched down into a trembling ball. He started slapping himself on the face repeatedly and whispering "You useless thing Park Jimin" while doing so.

Jimin continued to sob loudly until he heard the door of the toilet being pushed open. He held his breath abruptly, feeling his chest tightening as carbon dioxide threatened to escape from his mouth.

"Namjoon asked about you." Yoongi's voice rang in the small room. "I knew it's you, Jimin."

Jimin's heart jumped at Yoongi's voice. But the coldness of the voice hurt him even more. Jimin felt that he could hang himself right there in that cubicle. (If only he had a rope though) But still, he had to answer Yoongi no matter what. According to his stalking, Yoongi hates it when he talks and nobody responses.

"Please give me a few more minutes." Jimin tried to keep his voice stable, but eventually failed as his voice came out shaky and broken. His hatred for himself skyscraped once again. Couldn't he just be stronger in front of his crush?

"Jimin?" Jimin could feel Yoongi's tone changing 180°. "Are you okay?"

"I am." Jimin said, calming himself down even more. "You aren't." Yoongi answered. Jimin stayed silent for a while, wiping away his tears.

"You can't lie to me, Jimin." Yoongi said in an incredibly soft tone, that Jimin felt all his tears coming up once more. After moments of silence, Jimin gave up. "Okay, I'm not." He knew he couldn't hide anything from his friend.

"Come out." What? Jimin thought, now breathing normally. But still, he unlocked the door. As he saw Yoongi, his breath hitched again and his tears threatened to make a reappearance.

Before Jimin even realised anything, he was pressed against Yoongi's chest and he was sobbing even more loudly than before. After about 10 minutes, Jimin calmed down and looked at his appearance in the mirror. His face was all red and bloated, with tear stains all over. Then he realised that he probably wetted Yoongi's sweater.

"Erm...sorry for ruining your sweater. And...grades." Jimin bit his lower lip as he said the word "grades", as if it was a curse word.

"Never mind." Yoongi said. "I hope you are really okay now." "Maybe." Jimin replied. "But I definitely don't feel like crying again."

Yoongi nodded. There was a comfortable silence as Jimin stared at the ground and Yoongi stared at Jimin. It's like it was bound to happen no matter what.

"Actually... I think Namjoon is really a little bit too much." Yoongi finally said. "We all know you can't remember your lines well." "No, he's right. It's my fault." Jimin replied, still looking at the ground.

"Look at me." Yoongi walked forward and gently lifted Jimin's chin, and his heart clenched at the shorter's eyes. It was like all the soul and hope had been drained out from those orbs, and the person wasn't even alive for a reason.

"Don't blame yourself." Yoongi said seriously. "I know you can't actually remember the script well, we all know. Namjoon was only too hot-tempered just now. You know, being a genius and failing a subject and all. After he calmed his nerves, he actually asked about you and sent me to look for you, in case you run away if he went himself."

"But your grades..."

"I don't give a fxck about grades." Yoongi cut Jimin's words. "All I care about is you."

"Yoongi hyung..."

"I like you, Jimin. Can you like me back?"

Jimin blinked once, twice, thrice. He couldn't believe all these were happening. His crush ending up as the one confessing to him?

"You know I don't like unresponsive people, right?"

Jimin didn't respond. Instead, he locked his lips with Yoongi's. "That's my answer." He smiled sheepishly said finally after pulling away. Yoongi stared at him with deep red cheeks, registering what had happened.

"Let's go then, you have a few apologies to listen to. I think Jin hyung and Hoseok are waiting for you too." After a few moments, Yoongi said, smiling gently, linking Jimin's hand with his. "Oh and one more question for you, my Jiminie." Jimin and Yoongi both shuddered at that pet name, but then they both laughed. "Yes please." Jimin replied.

"Won't you forget that you like me?"

"Never."

I wrote this in great fear of failing my History presentation but yay, it went on okay :)

I editted this in great fear because of my Bahasa aural test, and yes, I failed the whole group of us because I can barely remember anything after the first line. It was two months ago and I still feel so bad. I apologised many times to my friend although they said that it's okay many times.

But still I know it's my fault.

Sorry for babbling :D
