SORRY ITS A SHORT ONE BUT I HAVEN'T HAVE MUCH TIME TO WRITE RECENTLY BUT THERES SOME GOOD STUFF COMING UP X
After school on Friday, I did an hour or two of homework before heading off to the airport. I was in the best mood I had been in since he’d left two weeks ago and everyone in my household knew why. We left the house at 6pm hoping to get to the airport by 7:30 as it was rush hour but his flight didn’t land until 7:50 so we had a little time to waste. We arrived a little later than expected due to traffic, so I only ended out having 10 minutes to waste. I had changed out of my uniform and had freshened up, making sure I looked nice for my boyfriend. I stood waiting in the airport lounge having a strong feeling of déjà vu as I watched the doors eagerly expecting him to walk through them at any minute. After what felt like hours, I finally saw his head bobbing up and down amongst the crowd and I ran straight towards him, pushing my way through the people who were waiting patiently in front of me. As we met, he threw his arms around me and we just stood there enjoying being in each other’s arms again. I was reminded of the security I felt when I was in his arms and all my troubles just fell away. We were probably stood in the most inconvenient place, as everyone had to divert around us but at the time we were so unaware of the people around us. I could feel my eyes beginning to well up, and as I pulled away from our hug, I saw that Luke’s were doing the same.
“I’ve missed you so so much Skyler,” Luke was the first one to break the silence,
“Trust me, I’ve missed you too.” We walked off together towards the exit, Luke with his arm around my waist and me holding onto his hand.
We caught up with each other on the journey home and he told me all about their shows.
“From what I saw on twitter everyone loved them!” I said
“Oh they were crazy!!” I loved seeing him get excited about what he did. Janoskians wasn’t like a job to him or to any of the other boys for that matter. They all absolutely loved what they did and were having a great laugh with their best mates along the way. While Luke was away I spoke to my parents about the possibility of moving to Melbourne the following summer, after I had finished school and before my brother started his exam year. Funnily enough, they had been considering the same thing as the company who had offered my dad a job out there the again asked him to reconsider and now seemed like the perfect time for all of us. As long as that all went okay and we could get into schools over there to complete our education, it was going ahead! I hadn’t told Luke the good news yet because I wanted to do it in person, so when we got home and were sitting up in my bed I said,
“I’ve got some good news,”
“What? What? Come on, tell me!!” You could hear in his voice how excited he was getting,
“I’m moving to Melbourne!!!” he screamed with delight, which brought me great amusement. “As long as everything goes well with my dad’s job and schools then we’ll be over next summer!” For that entire night, the smile did not leave Luke’s face. We just had to get through this next year and a bit of distance and then we wouldn’t have to worry about it again. That evening my whole family, including Luke, had a celebratory dinner and discussed moving. Luke told us all about Melbourne and Glenroy, what the weather was like, what the people were like, and things to do there, the lot. Everyone got on like a house on fire; it was lovely.
Whilst we only had limited time together, Luke and I cherished every moment. We saw each other every two or three weeks, and spoke to each other daily, but it wasn’t the same. My parents now felt okay with us sharing a room so we sat up all night and chatted. We promised each other never to let it get to a stage where one of us had to question the others love for them.
