A/N: Hey Guys.
This is a new poem I wrote after listening to Meghan Trainor's "Better" which inspired me to write this piece. I have finally found the courage to tell a good friend of mine the truth. She should have known what her 'best friend' was saying behind her back. Even though it has been maybe 2 months since it happened, she needed to know.
So if someone close to you talks in a bad way behind someone else's back.....you have to tell them the truth.

It blew into my face,
Breaking into pieces underneath my feet,
I gave you what you wanted,
Perhaps I've even gave you
What you needed, that was the truth,
He thought you were cold, unkind, selfish and rude,
What kind of person bad mouths a friend?,
A boy you called 'brother' from another mother,
He was close to your heart,
You deserve better, we deserve better
I'm sorry you had to find out so late,
I just wasn't prepared, feeling pressure pushing me down,
I trusted the one who stole my heart,
My prince charming I hoped he would be,
I'm just a hopeless romantic,
I deserve to find my own,
The man who takes my breath away,
Makes the time come to a stop,
Suddenly everything else is gone,
It's him and I sharing a long, sweet gaze,
Waltzing under the moon, no longer having to search for me,
I took it for granted,
The chance I spent on a snake,
We deserve better.
