Leave Me Lonely

A/N: Hey Guys.

This is a new poem I wrote a few days ago after hearing the live version of Ariana Grande's song "Leave Me Lonely" ft. Macy Gray on youtube. The song pretty much speaks about a partner who is bad for you which I kind of could relate to.  

I have added a bit of lyrics to the poem...here n'there.

Dangerous love,

You're no good for me, darling,

You're turned away, like I'm bad,

You pushed me away, like your worst poison,

Is it love when you can't see face to face?,

Is it love when easily we've given up?,

Is it love when I interrupted your peace of mind,

Or is it love when you made me cry?,

Why don't you leave me lonely?,

Your loving was as sweet as candy,

Bitter on the tongue too, so suddenly

I saw your intentions were not kind,

So as you walk out that door,

I wish you wouldn't come back no more.

Even if the realization of it hurts,

My heart has carried a heavy burden,

I can't take this give or take anymore,

I grew dependant on you babe,

But I know I shouldn't make you stay.

Taking a step towards the unknown,

I have to follow the path,

The road of my destiny,

To become a warrior, to rebuild my heart,

A soldier doesn't stop in the middle of a battle,

They carry on and survive,

For the one they shall love someday,

The stranger they don't expect to meet,

But know when to settle down and get back on their feet.

A war of love is endless,

Until eternally bound lovers call in defeat.
