Chapter Two: The Real Monster

(Keezheekoni adopted siblings are, the oldest Dyami, second oldest, Izusa, third is maska, and lastly is Demothi but Keezheekoni and him are only similar in age but he's a bit older then her)

As we sat watching the fire burn, I began to plan my revenge against those monsters for killing my brother. I then gotten up to prepare once I had gotten everything I needed I went to my siblings asking, Are you coming? Where? Asked Izusa. I'm going after those monsters. I told them. Dyami gave me a worried look while telling me, Keezheekoni, we know how much you hate wolves but killing them will not bring Demothi back. Plus if you didn't went after those wolves if the first place he'll still be here! Maska! Yelled Izusa angrily but I had enough so I glared at him said nothing and left.

                                                                      Denahi POV

While watching them fight I thought of how Kenia and I fought when Sitka had died suddenly i was reminded of something Tanana told me before she died, Denai, the spirits tell me that a similar occurrence will happen to someone you love. When? I asked. In time, She told me, You should be careful, Denai. vengeance will eat the heart but forgiveness can heal it. I took her words in heart that day. As she passed me I told her, Please, Keezheekoni, don't upset the spirits. It's too late. She muttered while leaving. 

                                                                                     Maska's POV

As she left I started to feel guilty for telling her that, my siblings were mad at me so I told them that I would go and get her. As I passed grand father he told to remember Kenai. then he squeezed my shoulder but I just shooked my head focusing on getting my sister back. 

                                                                                    Keezheekoni POV

I traveled to the forest following the prints of those monsters until I came into a thicker part of the forest where I saw some bones suddenly I heard a twig snap where I came face to face with the monster I was looking for, a wolf. It growled while snapping it's teeth I quickly took a deep breath then tried using my spear to stab its head but I only gotten its shoulder I tried running away so chased it. 

                                                                                Maska's POV

I traveled deep into some really thick forest while trying to find Keezheekoni. I stopped suddenly when I saw a pair of foot print with blood I ran over to it. They were human and... wolves. I prayed that my sister was still alive when I find her. I quickly followed the trail.

                                                                                        Keezheekoni's POV

I followed it to a mountain once it was isolated I started attacking. It growled showing its teeth but I aimed to kill. I tried to get the head but it kept moving suddenly it pounced on me I used my spear to block but then I saw it aim for my throat so I use every muscle in me to swift my weight on it then I stabbed but it moved causing me to break my spear in half. I heard a growl then I screamed.

                                                                               Maska's POV

I followed the blood trail as it came to a mountain then I saw my sister getting bitten by wolves. I climbed higher hopping that I would make it on time, suddenly I heard a scream, No. No. No. No. I kept repeating while climbing I thought, not her too. 

                                                                    Keezheehmoni's POV

I slowing opened my eyes, I was still breathing, looked around then saw it the wolf was dead. I pushed it off of me then took deep breaths of air while looking down. After a few breaths when I started to hear whispering soon I notice a strands of few blueish lights coming down from the sky, I quickly moved out of the way as it formed a water fall. I slowly I came closer to it wondering what it was, I nervously used my hand to touch it but as soon as I did it exploded into a colorful light. I landed on my bum to be almost stepped on a giant animal but only it didn't step on me, it didn't touch me at all. I finally realized that it was part of the colorful lights. I saw birds flying and fish swimming right next to me then a falcon agreed right next to me it then transformed into my brother. D-Demothi? I stuttered with disbelief. He didn't say anything only giving me a look sadness then he glanced to the wolf it disappeared into light then he kissed my forehead. 

                                                                               Maska's POV

I finally climbed to the top to find that this this monster killed and ate my sister, first my brother, now her. I looked at her clothes, to her spear, then to it with hate in my eyes. It then tried to get closer but I saw I jump down the mountain leaving me there alone. I saw her totem I quickly picked it up holding it to my chest thinking, wolf of forgiveness? Yeah right, Keezheekoni was right, these things are monster and i'm going to kill them all starting with this one.
