(2013) Going to be a shorter chapter, sorry :/

Wrote it in a hurry because I reached my goal and everybody was rather insistent I updated

Chapter 13

Blake Adams

I swung my fist at the guy across from me, loving the rush of adrenaline I got from fighting. I hadn't gotten in a real fight since Sunny had arrived, and it felt so good to relieve some of my built up stress.

He smirked after my fist missed him by less than an inch, and said, "Blake, you have gotten rusty. We haven't been practicing enough clearly."

I grinned at him as I barely was able to duck his next move, and answered him, "I have been busy, Chris, but we do need to practice more obviously. I need to be able to protect my friends."

He began to answer and I took the opportunity to attack, swiping him with a kick and knocking him to the ground. I pinned him and held him for ten seconds before we both got up to get drinks. Sadly, this was how I was spending my afternoon. I was supposed to be in class.

I used to come to this house all the time to fight with Chris, but not as enemies. In fact, Chris was a really good friend and ally of mine. It is always good to have a powerful human as an ally.

I took a sip of my water, and was startled by the pack link. David's voice got to me, "You need to come back immediately from wherever you are. Sunny was attacked by Jason."

I went on alert, quickly closing my water bottle and saying goodbye to Chris before getting to school as quickly as I could. When I arrived, I rushed to the class that Sunny was supposed to be in, only to find her missing as well.

The teacher turned towards me, startled, and the class began to whisper to their friends as the teacher cleared his throat, struggling to regain control before sighing and turning to me, "Mr. Adams, what are you doing here?"

I glanced around once more before seeing Olivia cringing from the scene I was making. She put her pencils down and gestured her phone, so I quickly checked mine. A text from her informed me David was waiting by my locker.
