Some of them are already out and some are ready for the theaters. These ten horror films with killers and ghouls will slice and chop us to death this year. This list based on opinions, commercial performance, anticipation, and critic reviews. Here's some plot to get you interested.

10. Holidays

Plot: "Nine filmmakers present horror stories that revolve around Valentine's Day, Saint Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Christmas and New Year's Eve."
That's a cool concept btw.

9. Baskin

"Policemen (Gorkem Kasal, Ergun Kuyucu) face a night of horror in a subterranean labyrinth after answering a distress call."
I've seen the movie and it's freakin scary to hell.

8. Rings

"A group of high school students have to find someone to watch an evil videotape or else they'll all die."
Again, with that? OK I'll give it a chance. The hype is real.

7. Lights Out

"A woman is haunted by a creature that only appears when the lights go out."
I've seen the short film that is based on it and it's scary AF. I have big expectations for this.

6. South Bound

"Interlocking tales of highway terror revolve around malevolent spirits at a truck stop, a mysterious traveler, a car accident and a home invasion."
I have not seen the movie but based on its poster, trailer and review, it's one hella good ride. Who needs sleep anyway.

5. The Other Side of the Door

"After her young son is killed in a tragic accident, a woman learns of a ritual which will bring him back to say goodbye, but when she disobeys a sacred warning, she upsets the balance between life and death."
Basically my favorite horror movie this year after seeing it.

4. Conjuring 2

"Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to London to help a single mother and her four children rid their home of malicious spirits." Oh God I'm so excited for this one, considering the previous movie scared the living shit out of me. I hope it's as good as the first one or even better.

3. The Witch

"A family in 1630s New England is torn apart by the forces of witchcraft, black magic and possession." Same level for Insidious. Scared to death.

2. The Purge: Election Year

"Two years after choosing not to kill the man who killed his son, former police sergeant Barnes has become head of security for Senator Charlene Roan, the front runner in the next Presidential election due to her vow to eliminate the Purge." Woah like the hype is up to the roof. The Purge series are one of my favorite horror series because it keeps getting better and better every movie, and hopefully this one too.

1. 10 Cloverfield Lane

"After surviving a car accident, Michelle wakes up to find herself in anunderground bunker with two men. Howard tells her that a massive chemical attack has rendered the air unbreathable, and their only hope of survival is to remain inside. Despite the comforts of home, Howard's controlling and menacing nature makes Michelle want to escape. After taking matters into her own hands, the young woman finally discovers the truth about the outside world."
After watching the movie, I'm like clapping in the end. It was well executed, the chill and intense scenes was so good. Best one.... yet!
