There is now fourteen aces in the pit. Everyones eyes me, Lucas counting the aces on his fingers since his drunk brain is too slow to catch on.
"Fucking Bluff." Alice tells me and I smile at her as I open the five cards one by one, all of them aces.
Alice starts laughing with vodka in each laughter as she gathers all fourteen cards and puts them in her hands.
"You bluffed before." The nameless guys says, smiling at me.
"I did." I smile at him, eight cards less in my hand than his.
"Two twos." I say as I throw two down to keep the game going.
"Bluff." Jenny says and turns them over, actual two twos. She curses and takes them.
I'm not a fool to play the same trick twice.
"One three." I say throwing a king flipped down. I do my best to stand still and not move.
Just when Lucas is about to keep it going, the nameless stops him.
"Bluff." He says, staring at me. I thought I had a perfect game face on. I curse and take the card, resulting him to smile wickedly.
"How did you know?" I ask, smiling back at him.
"You didn't drink." He says and I nod, cursing at myself for not drinking on purpose since I thought it would look suspicious.
"He is the best at this game." Alice tells me and I pour myself some more whiskey and keep the game going.
**
Its half an hour later, the bottle I opened, only a quarter of it left, two cards in my hand, three at the nameless guy.
Its a round of Kings and I have an ace and a five in my hand. Alice, Blake, Jenny, Lucas and John have too many cards to win at this point. Its my turn, I'm drunk, the nameless guy is sober.
"A king." I say and place the five onto the massive pile of cards. If he calls me out, I'm done for. I won't be able to recover from such a fall.
Lucas eyes me as he starts to rank up from his set of cards. I pray to god for him to be quick so the turn can pass onto him and no one can call me out.
"Are you bluffing?" The nameless guys asks me as Lucas fiddles with a bunch of cards, trying to pick which one to throw with his clumsy drunk fingers.
"If I answer that, it wouldn't be fun." I say, smiling, trying to cover the fact that I don't want to loose this stupid game.
Alice has puked twice off the balcony, John passed out, Blake and Jenny cried and Lucas told a story about how a goat attacked him when he was younger throughout this game. They are all actually nice people and I enjoy the game but the fact that there is this guy staring at me that he knows who I am and I don't even know his name, bothers me a lot.
"Three kings." Lucas puts down three cards and no one says bluff since he has almost thirty cards in his hand so he might be telling the truth.
Alice passes and its the nameless guys turn. There are only five kings in the pit now, he may really have them.
"One king." He says and puts a card down. No one has called him out yet and so I haven't been able to pick out a habit he had that came from lying.
I have one card left. When its my turn, I can say pass and if he is lucky, he will put down the true cards and even if I call him out, he'll still win. If I put my card down, he will call me out no matter what and its not something I can bet on happening.
