Chapter-7

Ruhani's POV

'So you will not come from 1st January?' Sameer asked.

I think Anaya told him I will work with Vikram.

'Yes, but I will come here to meet all of you, if I have time and its just a matter of one year," just for a year and then I will be back and I will come here if I get time,' I tried to make him understand.

'But, we will miss you, di,' he pouted.

'I will also miss you guys, coffee shop and everything.' I felt sad at the thought of leaving everything behind.

'Ru, how can we manage without you, we never kept a waitress as we didn't earn enough money to pay them,' Anaya said.

'I thought of a solution. Dad's friend, Maryam uncle's daughter, Shamika has come here from kolkata to finish her graduation, we can ask her for help,' I said.

'But, won't she be busy with her colleges and tuitions and why she would work with us?' she asked.

'Ya, Anaya di is right,' he said.

'Wait! I will call her and ask her to come here,' I said and called Shamika and she said that she will be coming here within half an hour.

Within half an hour Shamika was in the coffee shop and I introduced her to everyone.

'Are you enjoying yourself in Pune?" I asked.

'It's nice, but I am missing mom and dad and I am getting bored. I don't have much friends, and tuitions are also on weekends,' she said sadly.

'That's great Ruhani di,' Sameer exclaimed happily.

'What? What is great? I get bored or I don't have many friends... Is that great to you?" Shamika felt a bit annoyed.

'Are you mad? You don't know anything and you are talking... Where were you when god was giving brains?" Sameer asked angrily.

'Brain... Do you even know what brain is?" she shouted.

'Guys, please don't fight,' Anaya said and they shut their mouth.

'Will you work here for a year in my place? You will work as a waitress but sometimes you will also have to check the stock and other things in the kitchen,' I asked her.

'Okay... but I have college, even if I don't go everyday, I have to go at least three days a week for attendance,' she told us.

'Don't worry, in the mornings there are not so many customers and we both can handle it ,you can come here at 3 P.M." Anaya explained.

'Okay, I can come here by 3.30 P.M. and when I will not be attending college I will come at 9 A.M." she said.

'But, salary will not be so much,' Anaya told her.

'Anaya di, I am not coming here for salary and thanks Ruhani di for your suggestion to work here,' she said to us making us smile.

'Thanks to you,' I said and I was happy that they don't have to handle the shop all by themselves.

Sameer left as few customers came and I called Maryam uncle and asked for his permission and I was tension free as  he was happy that his daughter will not get bored.

Then more customers came and we left for our work and today I decided to do the majority of the work as I want to enjoy my last days before I have to go to the devil's den.
