* Evaline * The next day came faster than I wanted it to. School ended quickly and we all went back to my house. Well, our house. Trevor didn't come, it was just Michael, Rebbecah, and I.
I had to explain to my dad that a boy friend of mine was coming over but just for a project. It took a whole lot of convincing but I was successful and he agreed. As long as he gets to talk to Chris's parents he had said. But I didn't know if his parents were coming, nor did I know if he was actually coming.
I went downstairs after I was done getting ready. I wore a white dress and my hair was straight. Walking into the kitchen where I saw Maria cooking dinner. She was making her famous chicken pot pie, when I came in, she heard me and looked. "You look beautiful, but what's new." The blush rose in my cheeks.
"Thank you auntie Maria. You look beautiful too." I responded and sat on the counter. A pool of drool on my lips as i could smell her heavenly cooking.
She turned to me, a smile perked at her lips, "sooo this boy that's coming over.. You like him?!" Maria asked like a teenage girl from my school. The ones that are always drooling over boys and crushes.
"No! Definitely not," I shouted a scowl clear on my face. Maria pouted and my dad, Adam, Michael and Rebbecah walked in. The doorbell rang, cutting everyone off from their conversations. Jumping off the counter, I hurried to the door before anyone else got the chance. Taking a deep breath I slowly opened the door.
My eyes widen as I saw a beautiful blonde woman in front of me.

The woman was so beautiful, her hair curled and pinned to the side nicely. She gave me a smile as I stared at her beautiful green brown eyes. "Hello, I'm Liz. I'm Chris's mom." The woman introduced politely and looked behind her.
Following the woman's gaze, my eyes landed on Chris who was trudging up the steps of our porch. She shook her head at her son and I smiled at her. "Oh hi, I'm Evaline Daniels." Moving aside, "please come in."
The woman, liz, came inside. Her son followed after and gave me a glare, "I'm only here because she forced me." He hissed next to my ear. I scuffed and glared at him as his mom looked around.
Maria came into the hallway and stopped in her tracks as she saw Liz. She stared at her for a minute or two then smiled. "I'm Maria, and you are?" She introduced herself to Liz. Who responded by introducing herself back, once we were all introduced we went into the kitchen.
Chris's glares didn't stop, but as we walked into the dinning room all the others conversations stopped. My dad looked at Liz, his mouth went agape, I gave him a look. But all he did was stare at her, like she was an alien. Liz looked back at him smiling politely, then she looked around.
My dad stood up and Liz looked at him again. He looked at her then at Maria they both shared a look. Until my dad finally spoke up, "Hello, I'm Xavier Daniels and this is my family. I'm pretty sure you met Eva, my daughter." My dad said nicer than he usually was. He didn't look away from Liz as he spoke.
Liz smiled at him and nodded, "I'm Liz and this is my son Chris, it's a pleasure to meet you, Xavier." She said looking at him. He gave her a smile and then the food was done, we all sat down. We all started eating and talked except Chris and I.
"So where is your husband?" My dad asked Liz suddenly. Snapping My attention back to the conversation, Chris didn't say anything.
"He's working he's very busy lately." Liz said and frowned slightly but then smiled at my dad. "Is there a Mrs Daniels?" She asked causing the room to go silent. I looked at my lap and frowned, my dad gripped his fork.
"There was." My dad said his voice suddenly hard and deep. He looked away from Liz and down at his food. Chris continued with his glare, I looked at him from across the table. Not a speck of emotion. It was now just a blank stare as my eyes caught his.
Liz frowned and looked at my dad, "I am very sorry for your loss, Xavier- I didn't know-" she said sadness filing her eyes. My dad said nothing, he didn't move a muscle, his eyes started glowing slightly. I cleared my throat to catch everyone's attention.
They turned to me and I looked at Chris not breaking my gaze. "So Evaline." Chris spoke up grabbing everyone's attention, "tell me about yourself." He said and crossed his arms sitting back, trying to look intimidating.
"Well I'm 15 and I like to be called Eva, uhhhh..." I trail off not knowing what to say he nods.
"Sooo are you just naturally annoying or what?" He smirked as his mom smacked the back of his head and told him to be nice causing him to roll his eyes.
Michael glared at Chris, I knew he was holding back a growl. "What about you Chris? Are you just naturally an asshole or is a stick just shoved to far up your ass?" He hissed glaring hatefully.
Chris only laughed and smirked more, "awww how cute, look at that. Her boyfriend is getting all protective." He taunted. Michael got up, and growled at Chris.
"He's not my boyfriend! He's practically my brother!" I shouted rolling my eyes.
"Sit down Michael." My dad said sternly and Michael knew better than to disobey. Especially disobey his alpha. He sat down obediently and I glared at Chris, he laughed and shook his head.
"I apologize for my sons poor behavior. He's to much like his dad, cocky and a bit of a rude person. They are both very anti polite and social." Liz says looking at us. We nod at Chris glares at her, and rolls his eyes.
Dinner ended shortly after that, I was in the kitchen doing the dishes when I felt someone's breath on my neck. "So you like him as a brother huh?" The familiar voice of Chris asked. I nodded and he chuckled, "so you kiss your brothers?"
"What? Ew no, I never kissed him and if I did. You'd never know." I said putting the dishes away.
"I heard that you did." He whispered in my ear. His lips so close they touched it, and suddenly a painful knot formed in my stomach. I screamed out in pain and doubled over as the pain got worse. Maria came running as I screamed and fell onto the floor. My bones started cracking and Maria screamed for my dad.
The last thing I remember is looking into Chris's eyes, and by the time my dad came in running darkness took over and I blacked out.
