Before I could process what was happening, I heard myself whisper a "yes". The thought of finally being happy terrified me, but it also excited me. I would finally have something to look forward to. Someone to care about. Someone who would care about me.

I wasn't scared of commitment, I really wasn't. I was scared of being left again. I was scared of feeling the all too familiar emptiness inside of me again. I was used to the sleepless nights filled with lonely and depressing thoughts, but being used to something doesn't mean you like it.

I was tired of it. I was tired of being the only person who was pathetically unhappy.  Cameron cared about me. He was sweet, caring, adorable, what more could I want from him?

We had been hugging for what seemed like ages, but I didn't mind it. Cameron's hugs had an oddly comforting feeling about them and I couldn't put my finger on why I loved them so much, but I simply did.

Our moment was completely ruined when Andrea barged in the room without knocking. "Oh, Cam I'm so sorry!! I really didn't know you two were up here!!" She said innocently, but I saw right through her bitchy fake act.

"It's fine Andrea, but Vic and I are in the middle of something right now so we'll be down in a second." Cam responded politely. She rolled her eyes and walked straight back out the door.

"So what does this make us now Cam?" I questioned. "The last thing, I want it to scare you away with labels Vic. We can take it as slow as you want." He replied sweetly. His caring and considerate tone made me blush, which was still a foreign feeling to me.

"Thank you for understanding Cam." I said pecking his cheek, and he responded with an adorable grin. We made our way back downstairs, and I couldn't help but display the goofy smile on my face. I was happy.

For the first time since I could remember, I was truly happy. Sam walked up to me slowly while rubbing her temples which told me she was also hung over.

"Hey Sam!!!" I said raising my voice in the hopes to annoy her a bit. "Ugh, stop yelling! You're not helping me feel any better!" She replied holding her hands over her ears to block out my voice.

"Here babe, take this it'll help you with your hangover I promise." Nash said giving her a tiny blue pill. I looked at her in confusion, but she shrugged me off and swallowed the pill anyway.

"So where'd you go last night? I hardly saw you last night before I got drunk off my ass." I said to her. "I was hanging out with Nash and some of his friends." She simply replied.

"Oh." I said not completely convinced. She walked away with Nash, leaving me a little worried. Sam had a history with drugs, but I didn't want to suspect anything right now. I trusted her, because all of that was in her dark and low days. Before she had Nash. Before she felt truly loved.

I trusted Nash with my best friend.  I really hoped he wouldn't make me regret it. I walked away deciding not to make a big deal out of the situation. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and turned around only to be met with a pair of beautiful baby blue eyes.

"Heeeey baby!" The mysterious boy seductively said to me which caused me to giggle. "Hayes! Stop hitting on her, she's Cam's girlfriend, and you're sixteen." Nash hollered from the living room.

"Ohh, so you're the famous Victoria that Cameron won't shut up about?" He asked teasingly. "Hayes, I swear to god if you don't shut up I will punch you." Cam said approaching us and protectively wrapping his arm around my waist.

"So Cam, you can't shut up about me huh?" I asked poking his cheeks. "No...." he mumbled with a grin on his face. "You two are a couple now?!" Andrea asked nervously.  Cam and I exchanged a look and basically had a conversation telepathically. "Yes, we're a couple now." I announced, slightly rubbing it in her face.

"Cam, can I talk to you for a minute... alone?" She asked in a bitchy tone. Cameron  looked at me apologetically and blew me a kiss before walking away with Andrea.

After about twenty minutes, I started fidgeting with a loose strand of my hair, nervously waiting for Cam to return. Nash came up to me and smiled. "Cameron is still in there with that bitch?" He asked laughing. "THAT'S WHAT I CALL HER TOO!!!" I exclaimed laughing along.

"How are things with Sam?" I questioned curiously. "I really love her Vic. I know it's only been a couple of months, but I really love her." He said, his cheeks turning a rosy pink tint. I hugged him.

That's when I realized my best friend was in good hands, or at least that's what I wanted to believe.

"Nash!! That's my girl, so get your hands off her!!" Cam yelled slapping away Nash's hands off my body. "Cam, chill man! I'm dating her best friend remember?" Nash said laughing hysterically.

"Oh, so you're saying if you weren't dating her best friend you'd be all over my girlfriend?" Cameron challenged with jealously clearly evident in his voice. I was secretly loving the way he was acting. Overprotective and jealous, it was hot.

"Hell yeah! I mean look at her, Victoria is gorgeous!" Nash said winking at me, even though I knew he was just saying it to get under Cam's skin.

"Victoria is what?!" Sam asked in a pissy tone. We all turned our attention towards her. "Nothing baby. I love you so so much!! Have I told you how absolutely stunning you are?" Nash asked kissing my best friend's cheek repeatedly.

"Yeah that's right. That's what I thought." Sam said smugly. They walked upstairs hand in hand, and I wrapped my arms around Cam's neck.

"Who knew you were this jealous huh?" I said teasing my boyfriend. He had his arms around my waist again which was a habit of his that I was becoming very fond of and kissed my forehead.

"I just didn't like the way he had his arms around you. That's only for me to do!" He replied. I stood on the tip of my toes to quickly peck his lips. I didn't want to get carried away, considering we had just become a couple. His lips looked irresistible, and before I could do anything else he pulled me closer to him and crashed his lips onto mine.

His lips moved perfectly in sync with my own, and it felt like two puzzle pieces finally fit together. It was just perfect. The kiss, the moment, the boy, everything was just perfect. For the first time in a long time something in my life finally felt right, and I absolutely loved it.
