I've never been on a date, but I'm not an idiot, I know how it's meant to work; dinner and a movie. So when Zach texts me at half ten on Friday night I'm a little confused.
Hey gorgeous, enjoy your kayaking in the morning, make sure you are back by 10am, I'll have breakfast waiting :-) X
I was confused yes, but also kinda excited.
I will be. Where are we meeting? X I asked realising I had no idea.
Your house, now get some sleep I have a busy day planned, night babe. X x x
I sleep, sort of and in the morning me and Bobby head into the city to the indoor kayaking centre, we are there for two hours and I'm not only knackered but starving by the time we are heading home.
"Want to grab some food?!" Bobby asks just like he does every week.
"Na, I'm ok Zach's bringing me breakfast," I say without thinking.
"Oh?" Bobby question and I play it off like it's nothing.
"Yeah, he wanted to hang out today or something, said he'd be over at ten with breakfast." I say shrugging.
"Well that's nice of him," Bobby says and I don't know what he's thinking and it's driving me nuts.
When we pull up at home 20 minutes later it's just after ten and Zach is sitting on the doorstep probably freezing his arse off.
"Hey ba-buddy?" He says but it sounds like a question.
"Zach," I nod quickly realising he was about to call me babe.
Bobby grabs our kayaks and goes to store them in the shed. So I turn my attention to a freezing Zach.
"Shall we go inside?!" I ask.
He looks unsure so I give him another option.
"We could sit in the car?!" I ask instead and he agrees.
"I really should have thought about the fact that it's December more," he laughs when we are both sat in the car with the heater on.
"Yeah, it's a little cold." I laugh.
"Are you kidding?! I think I nearly froze to death out there."
"You could have knocked," I say wondering why he didn't.
"I didn't know if you wanted me too, I guess I'm not 100% sure of the rules of this whole thing," he says.
"Well..." I start to say and then my stomach rumbles.
"Shit, sorry babe. You must be starving here," he says and he hands me a takeaway tea and what looks like a homemade bacon sandwich.
"Thanks," I smile at him and then I literally moan when I take the first bite of food, god it tastes good.
He laughs as I continue to tuck in to my food; soon realising there is also a sausage sandwich in the bag as well.
"Babe?" Zach asks suddenly.
"Yeah?" I say swallowing the food in my mouth.
"Could you please stop moaning," he asks quietly as he shuffles in his seat slightly.
"Oh." I say shocked but strangely happy that I'm making him uncomfortable. "Why?" I say mischievously.
"Well, because it's turning me on." He says quite seriously and I laugh.
"Come here." I say and without even thinking about it I kiss him, either I don't care or I forget that anyone of my family members could come outside and see us. I kiss him with all I have, because I've missed him and I'm starting to hate my insecurities surrounding my sexuality, I want to be able to touch Zach when the hell I want.
