I packed my bags and said goodbye to everyone, even Rosalie. And she enveloped me into a big hug.
'I didn't mean what I said earlier. I'm so sorry for bullying you,' she said.
'Mhm, it's okay,' I replied. We both genuinely smiled.
Then Emily, Paul and I headed for their house. The whole car ride I slept in the backseat. I was shaken awake by Paul. He had a huge grin on his face.
'Get up, sleepyhead,' he said. His ear piercing glistened. His voice was really childish.
I rubbed my eyes and looked up at the building. It was a mansion, with a lot of windows and it was painted cream.
I held both of Paul's shoulders and jumped up and down. He chuckled and took my bags inside. Emily showed me my room. I gasped.
The walls were painted lavender and there was a queen-sized bed with light blue sheets and a matching duvet and matching curtains. There was a pink desk with a chair and different coloured felt tips and watercolours, with a laptop and iPhone on it. There was a huge walk-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
'You like?' Emily asked, grasping my arm.
'No,' I said. She looked hurt for a second.
'I love.'
She grinned and hugged me. Then we went downstairs.
We all sat on the couch, me and Paul and Emily, and they asked me questions.
'How old are you?' Paul asked.
'Thirteen. How old are you guys?' I said.
'I'm twenty-two,' Emily said, giggling. 'Paul's twenty-three.'
I smiled and nodded.
'Favourite colour?' they asked me.
'Purple, blue, green, grey and pink,' I replied. They beamed.
'That's enough questions for now,' Emily said five minutes later. 'Who wants Starbucks?'
***
Twenty minutes later we had all changed and were at Starbucks. Emily was wearing a pretty black lace off-the-shoulder crop top, deep red skinny jeans and Jordans. Paul was in a light blue top with black suspenders, skinny jeans and black Vans and I was wearing a flowery crop top, white shorts and white Vans.
When we arrived we went to the counter. There was a woman there and we told her what we wanted. I sat down and waited for my hot chocolate. When it was done, I took it and was walking back to the table when I bumped into a body. My drink fell from my hands and to the floor, spilling all over my Vans and my legs. We both reached down at the same time and I looked up-into the best greenish-blue orbs ever. The boy looked back at me and smiled, then frowned as he picked up my cup.
'Let me pay for that,' he said softly. He had a comforting voice.
'No, it's okay, I can do it by myself, you don't have to, it was my fault anyway,' I rushed out. He shushed me and smiled.
'It's okay,' he said. 'By the way, I'm
Jonas.'
'Nice name,' I said. 'I'm Gemma.'
He grinned. 'Thanks. You have a wonderful name too.'
'Thanks.'
'Can we exchange numbers?' he asked. I had earlier set up my new iPhone, so I nodded and we exchanged numbers. Then he went to pay for a new drink.
He handed it to me.
'Thanks,' I said, smiling widely. Emily and Paul made "Ooooh" sounds from the table. Jonas and I blushed. But soon it was time to go.When we were home I got a text. I opened it up:
Hey, it's Jonas from Starbucks. i hope u enjoyed ur drink! 😁 Srry 4 spilling le last one. Hope we can meet again soon? Xxxxxxx
