5 Months Later
In a week Blake was expected home. Jonas couldn't wait. But he said that his parents were going to ground Blake once he got home. I was excited too.
Ariel got together with the guy from the park, Max. They look really cute together. Now the four of us hang out together, we go to the park together, watch Netflix together, told all out secrets, had sleepovers (I know right!), made sundaes together, sat together in the cafeteria, bought matching outfits and went on double dates. It was amazing. And Ariel has cheered up a bit now. Jonas is so excited to see Blake again. He says it's like finishing a really hard puzzle, or winning a Grammy Award.
I wasn't really looking forward to Blake's release.
Like, imagine what else he could do. He could kill someone else. He could kidnap. He could rob.
I told Ariel about it and she comforted me and said that if I'm uncomfortable with it, I should just stay away from him.
And I told her that when Blake is released, Jonas would put all his attention to him and not even glance at me. She told me that Jonas really cared for me and that if he was the kind of boyfriend that does that then I didn't deserve him.
A week after Blake was released waa Summer break and Jonas and his family were traveling but I was invited to come. I was so grateful.
Two Weeks Later
Blake got out of jail a week ago. When me, Jonas and his parents went to pick him up he had a huge scar running down his right cheek. Jonas began to cry. He said that he was just very happy. He hugged his brother.
Blake said that if he was reported to the police again for any crime he would be sentenced to ten years and if it happened again after that, he would get the death sentence.
So we went to Jonas' house so I could spend time with Blake too and he couldn't come to mine because he was grounded. I didn't really feel that comfortable but Jonas was happy.
And seeing him happy made me happy.
