CHAPTER -18

As soon as Soha turned after finishing the call, she saw Manik standing right in front of her.

Soha self thought-

Ye Manik ne meri conversation suni to nahi. Kaise pata karu.

Soha to Manik - Manik tum yahan.

Manik - Kyu mai yahan nahi aasakta kya. Iske liye kya tumhari permission leni padegi mujhe.

Soha- Nahi mera Matlab wo nahi tha. Mai to bas.....

Manik - Ahh.... Soha cut the crap. Mujhe tumhare faltu ke excuses nahi sunte hai. Waise tum yahan Mom ke room ke samne kya kar rahi ho.

Soha- Mai to bas Aunty se baat karni aayi thi.

Soha faked that she got a call and went away from there to save herself from further interrogation of Manik.

Manik went to Shanti and asked - Bua Nandini uth gayi kya.

Shanti smiled seeing Manik's concern for Nandini and said- Ok bata dungi.

Manik went to his room.

Meanwhile in Nyonika's room-

Nyonika got a call from one of her employees of her orphanage in
Amritsar.

Employee- Namaste Madamji mai Lata bol rahi hu Amritsar se.

Nyonika - Haan Lata bolo.

Lata- Nai Madam Ji Kuch theek nai hai. Yaha ke local gunde bahot Pareshan kar rahe hai orphanage ke land ko lekar. Agar aap aajate Madamji to inko Muh Tod jawab miljata.

Nyonika - Theek hai mai mere bete ko bhejti hu.

Lata- Bete se yaad aya Madamji apke bade bete ki birthday bhi to aarahi hai. To mai soch rahi thi ki orphanage ke liye koi donation miljata to.....

Nyonika - Theek hai mai uska intezaam kardungi.

Lata- Aur Haan Madamji , Bahuji ko bhi bhej dijiyega. Bachche bahut khush hojayenge unke Vivek Bhaiyya ki patni se milke.

Nyonika - Hmm....

Lata- Acha Madamji mai rakhti hu.

With this she kept the call.

Nyonika came to Manik's room and saw him busy in some work .

Nyonika - Manik busy ho. Kuch baat karni thi Beta.

Manik - No Mom I am not at all busy . Boliye na kya baat karni thi.

Nyonika - Beta actually two days me Vivek ka birthday hai. To mai soch rahi thi ki hamare orphanage me sweets aur kapde distribute kare. Agar tum free ho to kya tum do din ke liye wahan jaa sakte ho. Wahan pe thodi problem bhi chal rahi hai orphanage ke land ko lekar. Agar hum me se koi jayega to wo sort out hojayegi.

Manik - Ok Mom mai chala jaunga.

Nyonika - Aur Haan Shanti aur Nandini ko bhi sath lekar jao.

Manik - Ok Mom.

Nyonika started to cry remembering Vivek.

Manik - Mom kya hua ro kyu rahi ho.

Nyonika - Maine kabhi socha bhi nahi tha ki mera Vivek bas ek yaad ban ke reh jayega. Abhi uski umr ki kya thi Jo upar wale ne use mujhse cheen liya.

Manik - Mom please stop crying. We all miss him . But ap aise baat baat roti rahogi to tabiyat kharab hojayegi apki. Aur Vivek Bhaiyya bhi dukhi hojayenge . Wo kahi upar se dekh rahe honge apko.
Aur main hoon na apke paas.

Saying this he wiped her tears.

Nyonika smiled seeing Manik's concern.

She kissed his forehead and said- Tu to mera ladla Beta hai. Beta kabhi mujhe chod ke mat Jana. Agar tune mera sath chod diya to mai mar jaungi.

Manik - Never. Mai apka saath kabhi nai chodunga . I promise. Chahe Kuch bhi hojaye.

Nyonika - Acha Beta mai chalta hu. Tu apna kaam karle.

With this Manik resumed his work.

After an hour a servant knocked his door.

Manik asked him to come in.

Servant - Baba apko Buaji bula rahi hai Bahuji ke kamre me.

Manik - Theek hai tum jao mai aata hu.

Servant nodded and left.

Manik stopped his work and went to Nandini's room.

Nandini was resting her head on the headboard of her bed.

Manik entered the room and came and sat on a chair near her bed.

Manik - Ab kaisa feel kar rahi ho. Is your leg Ok or is still hurting.

Nandini - It's much better.

Manik in a teasing mode- Waise Nandini mai thodi der ke liye bahar kya gaya tumne to gir kar apna leg ki fracture karwaliya.
Lagta hai tumhe meri help ke bina Kuch kaam nahi hota.
Pehle to khana khilau aur ab chalna bhi mai hi sikhau tumhe. Matlab hadh hoti hai yaar har baat ki.

Shanti entered by then.

Nandini - Buaji dekho na Manik mujhe chidha rahe hai. Keh rahe hai ki mujhe chalna nahi aata.

Shanti - Manikkk.... kyu tang kar raha hai bechari ko.

Nandini giggled on seeing this.

All three of them laughed together.
