Unforgivable

Chapter 3

As he closed the door i felt like running to him and beg him to stay with me after he dropped that bomb on me. How i loath Chase Stanford and everything involving him. I can't believe he gave me illegal money to start up the company,and i asked him where he got it. He lied. Again to me. I wish i could have seen this before hand. Now i know when he hears i want to put this thing on him he will pull the trigger by saying i accepted it knowing where he got it.

"Aaargh! I hate you!" I screamed at the open space trying to get rid of the chocking feeling i have in my throat for what is about to get down. Not only did he lie about me being a cold hearted bitch when we are not among a crowd he cheated on me with that whore named Amanda Richie. This man will surely be the end of me. I streched my legs on top of tge sofa and laid back and closed my eyes atleast to surface everything.

Opening my eyes i couldn't believe that i slept on my couch. Looking outside i could see that its almost night fall. Standing up i streched my arms as i made my way to the kitchen. I don't feel like cooking. Maybe take out will do? As went to the drawer in my kitchen counter to get a take out menu i noticed i hadn't eaten the eggs and bacon Don made for me. Letting out a deep breathe i smiled looking at the untouched meal. I placed it in the microwave and turned it on to heat up the meal.

Don... Not only is he handsome as hell he knows how to cook. Thinking about him makes me feel things that i thought i couldn't feel even when i was with Chase i still didn't feel it. The thought of him makes my mind go to things that even any pastor will condemn me.

After hearing the beeping sound of the microwave i took out the plate and sat down to eat. Feeling bad about dismissing Don after telling me the truth i decided to call him. Going through my contact list i saw i have no Don Stanford in my phone i decided to call my assistant Mindy. "Hello miss i was your day? Need any help?"

"Hello Mindy, it was good can you send me Don Stanford's contact details to my phone i have to speak to him immediately."

"Yes Miss Everton,he even had an appointment today but you cancelled."

"We did? I didn't know that but its alright i met with him early today,send me his details please,thank you Mindy and have a good night."

"You too MissEverton."

Ending the call i ate my meal enjoying how it melted so nicely in my mouth. How can he cook like this? I heard my phone vibrate having received the message from Mindy. Pressing to see his details i came to notice infact him and his half brother own one of the largest multi industrial companies in the world. So why do you want to own my company Don? I asked myself deciding whether to call him or not. Instead i opted to call my mother.

"Hailey? How have you been my dear?"

"Have been good mum."

"Did you finally get back your company from that gigolo you called a fiancé or his still holding the strings?"

"Not yet mother but i have a plan."

"Which plan? I hope there isn't any Stanford involved in it because i despise that family after what their son did to you,but i warned you and you didn't listen."

"Mum,it still involves the Stanfords family but this one his different,his name is Don he owns the well know Maxman industries,you know that company right?"

"Ofcourse i do but i didn't know they are related?"

"How is dad? He hasn't picked my calls since the wedding fiasco ,is he avoiding me?"

"No dear he's still mopping by the fact that his other daughter has fallen into the Stanfords trap,atleast he started eating."

" Mum,you don't have to always bring up the situation between Caden and Hellena,they are married now atleast Caden isn't a coward like his brother."

"Well dear, no need to always correct me,call me when you have your company back,i hope you have learned your lesson,men are not to be trusted."

"Okay mum,talk to you later,goodnight."

"Goodnight darling."

As i stared at my phone i started wondering how am going to lure Chase back to the country because i know he still doesn't want to face me. What a bloody coward. Placing my plate in the sink i took my phone and headed to my bedroom and changed out of my dress and wore my nightgown and entered my bed. When i was trying to find a comfortable position i heard my phone vibrate getting a message from an unknown number.

I hope you're feeling fine now. I wish  i could have found another to say what i did earlier. Have a goodnight

Seeing the message made me smile. I decided i will call him tomorrow in order to talk to him and see him over lunch. I don't know why my heart is beating faster when am thinking about him but i hope its a good sign. Closing my eyes i drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face.
