Chaper 33

Tom's POV

The plane landed early..we did not land in London but somewhere closest to where we had been flying. I asked the pilot to land the flight so that we can go back to NYC..and he agreed.

So now I am in a flight back to NYC..just wishing Samantha is alright..I don't know what is going to happen next..? My mind lingered on the night we spent together yesterday. It was the best moment of my life. The way she kissed me and blushed when I kissed her out of the sudden. My mind revolved around the beauty of her bare body and how we kept staring at each-other for so long but the contact was lost when we heard something..!! Wait a minute..!! What..? We heard something..? Who can it possibly be..? The security..? No way they cannot enter in like that..So who was it..? Ivory..? Maybe she never left the house..!! Maybe she is the one decieving her friend..!! Maybe she planned all this..!!

All of the time I was in the flight I just thought of how I am going to kill Ivory for what she has done..She deserves to be dead..because she harmed Samantha..But why would she..? They had been friends for there entire school life..!!

I don't what the truth is but I have to find it out..!!

My flight landed in NYC and Richard picked me up. Ivory was sitting at the back seat. My head was paining like hell and I wish I could hit it with a baseball bat..

"Ivory..! Where did you go after I asked you to leave my mansion..?" I asked Ivory and Richard raised an eyebrow at me

"Sorry..!!" Ivory said totally disgusted

"Umm..!! Where were you the last night..?" I asked her again

"I took Samantha's car and drove back to her house..parked her car there and took a cab home..!!" She said confidently

"When was the last time you both talked..?" I asked her

"Whats going on Tom..?" Richard asked me.

"Today morning..!! Why do you ask..?" Ivory said

"What did you both talk about..?" I asked her

"Stop it Tom..!" Richard said

"Umm..she asked me to accompany her to grocery shopping and I said no because I had to visit my grandma.." She said

"Richard can we drive to that super market..!!" I asked him and he nodded.

In the next fifteen minutes we were in the super market along with the sheriff. My men gave me Samantha's Iphone and I checked her call logs..she dialled my number..but I did not recieve any call..I checked the call duration..it showed that the call was being cancelled.

I was standing with the phone in my hand..tears rolling down my cheeks when sheriff appeared..he showed me some photographs of CCTV footage. I recognised the person at an instant. It was Steve..was he behind all of this.

"This is Steve..!" I said and Ivory agreed too.

"Do you know where he stays..?" Sheriff asked is and Ivory nodded.

We recieved a phone call that Samantha has been admitted in the hospital in a 20km radius of the place where the accident took place. Without a second thought me Ivory and Richard drive to the place while the Cops drove to the address Ivory gave.

We reached he hospital and I quockly ran inside the hospital leaving behind Richard who asked me to not to hurry. I immediately asked the receptionist of this hospital which was not to big

"Where is Samnatha..?" I asked her punching the table on which ahe was working.

"Excuse me..!" She said in a low voice.

"Goddamn it..! Where is she..?" I shouted and pubched it again..my jaw clenched in anger.

Richard and Ivory came running in. While Ivory asked about Samantha..Richard tried to calm my nerves down.

"It's the 2nd floor..room 301" she said and I hurried up my steps on the stairs to run up to her.

My breath was uneasy when I reached room 301. I immediately entered the room and saw Samantha lying on the bed with closed eyes. A drip was attached to her left hand..which was pouring in blood and she had bruises on her face. Her head was wounded too and it eas covered with an aid. To see a lively girl I loved lifeless..my heart ached and tears began rolling down my eyes.

My eyes shifted to the man sitting next to her. Nearly my age who was holding her hand.

"Who are you..?" I asked the man who was looking at me.

"Excuse me..!! Who are you..?" He asked me

"What are you doing with my girlfriend..?" I asked him

"Oh..!!" He exclaimed and stood up. He gave me his hand to shake.." I am Rupert Brown.." he said

"And you are..?" He asked me while we shook hands

"I am Tom Adams..!" I told him and just then Richard and Ivory arrived.

The conversation between all three of them was about how he found Samantha and rescued her to this hospital. While I sat with Samantha holding her hands. I could see the calmness on her face. Black bags under her eyes and scratches on her hands. She was breathing normally.

We decided to shift her to the best hospital in NYC. We cleared all the dues and Richard handeled the paperwork. We shifted her to the best hospital and spent the whole night waiting in the corridor for her to utter some nonsense out of her mouth and give me her best ever smile.

The doctors informed that she is has an injury and they need to surgically tackle it. This would bring her out of the state of coma.

The doctors performed the surgery and I sat infront of the operation theatre with Ivory and Richard. Rupert had already gone..I came to know that he is the owner of one of the leading journalism firms and is a millionaire.

The culprit Steve is under arrest and the cops are trying to find out the motive behind why he dragged Samantha out. The CCTV footages of the traffic signal have made things clear that behind the accident..Steve was not the who rammed the car into hers..so who was it..?

It was night when I recieved a call from Rose.

"Hi..!" She chirped

"Hey..!" I said in a low voice.

"What happened..? Is everything alright..?" She asked

"Yeah..!" I said

"I heard at ur office that someone rammed the car into you assistant..!" She said

"Hmm..!!" I replied completely not interested

"So..!! Are you there with her at the hospital..?" She asked me and I told her that I was there. She said she will be coming here in the morning tomorrow and hung up.

I just sat there waiting for her to open her hazel eyes and tell me that she loved me. I don't know when did I fall asleep sitting on the couch outside her room.
