Chapter 38

Samanthas' POV

"Come here..!" I told Ivory and held her wrist tightly..I dragged her with me to the restroom on the same floor.

"Where are you taking me..?" Ivory asked me

"Will you shut for a minute..?" I whispered yelled at her arrogantly.

"I m sorry..!" She finally said when she realised that there was something which was beyond serious.

Finally when.we reached the restroom I closed the door behind me and locked it from inside.

I started moving inside the little mall restroom I was in holding my head in confusion

"Will you utter something..?" Finally Ivory asked and I looked at her. She was giving me that annoyed look as if I asked her to dance on an Indian item number. She had her hands crossed on her chest and she was taking support of her one leg to stand. Her eyebrows twitched up like she wanted explanation

"He is the one..!" I said

"Who is he in the above line..?" She asked me in a 'duh' tone.

"The man who drove the car that day" I finally said

"Samanatha..what are you talking about sweety..?" She asked me coming in my direction and keeping her hand on my shoulder. Giving me an affectionate look.

"Ivory darling..! I think Rose was after my accident." I told her and her eyes widened in shock.

"Samantha..What are you saying..?" She asked me and I nodded my head in assurance.

"I saw the man who hit my car on the day of accident and I sae him today wearing a black suit and standing behind Rose. He must be his bodyguard I suppose." I told her.

"I think we should tell Tom about it..!" Ivory exclaimed

"Are you sure..? If he hears that I think Rose is after that accident he might not like it and maybe he doesn't believe us as well.." I exclaimed

"No Samantha..How can you think so lowly of Tom..he loves you and will believe you for sure. " Ivory said and I looked at her and she gave me a believable smile and I smiled back. We both decided to go to Tom's office and tell iim what we know.

We unlocked the door and hurried our steps to the parking lot. When we reached the car Ivory asked me to drive and threw the keys at me.

"Uhh...I can't drive..!" I told her and threw the keys back at her but she couldn't catch them..they hit her hand and fell down under the car.

"You better explain me everything later." She said and knelt down angrily to look below the car for keys.

"I cannot find them.." I heard Ivory telling me from other side of the car.

"They must me under the car..!" I told her

"Where do you think I am fidding them..above the car..?" She said from the same position and I could hear her frustrated voice.

"Uhh..!" I exclaimed

"I found them.." She chirped standing from her position and held a happy face but I chuckled.

"Why are you laughing..?" Ivory asked me

"Look at your face grandma..?" I told her trying to control my laugh.

She opened the car and I sat down on the passenger seat while she picked out a mirror from her bag and saw her face in it and cursed the dirt that stuck her face.

My phone rang and I looked at Ivory while she looked at me.

"Put it on speaker..!" She told me and I did the same.

"Hi princess..!" Tom said from the other side of the phone.

"Hi Tom..!" I replied

"So can you come to the police station urgently..the officer wants to record your statement..!" He said and I looked at Ivory.

"Tell him that you will be there in 5 minutes..!" Ivory whispered mimed.

"Tell him that you will be there in 5 minutes.." I told him and immediately my hand thumped my head and I regretted what I said while Ivory gave me a blank expression.

"What..?" Tom asked me and I could hear confusion in his voice.

"Uhh..uhh..I mean I will be there in 5 minutes.." I corrected myself

"Okay..Are you sure..? We can do it someday later..!" Tom said

"No..! Not at all..I know the one who is behind it..!" I told him spontaneously

"And you are telling that to me now..!" He exclaimed

"I just figured it out..anyways..we will be there..!!" I said and hung up.

Ivory drove fast when we were on the road. It was afternoon and the sun was up and the part of the day when usually prople love to stay at there workplaces or at there homes. We left all the cars behind and finally reached the police station.

We parked the car and went inside. I saw Tom standing there looking at the ground while Rupert Brown was there too. Richard was having a deep conversation with the police official and when Tom saw me he came to me.

"Well..! Its time for you to tell them who did that to you." He said and held my hand and took me to the officer.

"I think I should tell you first..!" I told Tom

"Oh Samantha..There is no point wasting time telling me..You can tell the officer." Tom said

"I think you must hear her once..!" Ivory said and Tom ignored her.

We were now standing infront of the officer who was eagerly looking at me to tell him the truth or reveal the secret.

"Miss Samantha..! Will you tell me what do you know..?" The officer asked me.

I remained silent

"Tell him..!" Richard said and I looked at him

I remained silent and kept staring at Ivory demanding help.

"Miss Samantha..?" The officer asked

"Yeah..!" I looked at him

"Will you tell me..?" He asked and I nodded

"Tell me then..!" The officer said again

"Uhh.." I exclaimed

"Come on..!" Tom exclaimed and I looked at Ivory. She nodded and I had my clue that I should tell them.

"Its.." i sighed and said.."Its Rose." I said and closed my eyes just to make sure that Tom does not look at me

"Oh shut up you idiot..!" I heard Tom say and I opened my eyes to look at him. As soon as I saw him he held my hand and dragged me out of the police station.

"Tom..! You are hurting me..!" I shouted but he kept on holding me like that.

"Tom..have you gone deaf..I said you are hurting me..!" I told him trying to free my hand from his grip.

He finally left my hand when we were out.

"What did you just say..?" He asked me with his bloodshot eyes. I could see anger dripping from the core of his soul. I had never seen him that brutal and reckless. He was fuming with anger and I could not understand why he was behaving like that and acting that angry when he doesn't even love Rose. He loved me right..?
