When I woke up, I was in the hospital. Definitely not a fairytale. I was still in my adventuring outfit, not a hospital gown, and the bed next to me looked like someone had been there and it hadn't been fixed yet. Marshall.

"She's awake!" Cake said jubilantly.

"Thank Glob!" Gumball agreed.

I looked at them placidly. "Where's Marshall?"

"Fionna-" Gumball started.

"Where. Is. Marshall?" I repeated.

"Shouldn't you rest?" Cake asked.

I got out of bed instead. "How long was I out?"

"A day." Gumball and Cake said simultaneously.

"How long ago did Marshall leave the hospital?"

"A few hours ago. We unplugged him, which wouldn't have hurt him because he's already dead. You... we had to make a special serum for you." Gumball said.

"Okay, thanks. Did he say anything to either of you about where he might be going?" I wondered, picking up my backpack on the way out.

"No. He just said to Gumball, 'you better treat her like a queen'." Cake said.

I frowned. "If Marshall had just let me explain-! Ugh. Maybe I'll just go back in there. At the very least, Amnesia-Marshall understands how I feel about him."

"Amnesia-Marshall...?" Gumball asked.

"He's Marshall, but he has no idea of our past here in Aaa in the fairytales. He's exactly like Marshall in every way other than that." I replied.

Cake and Gumball looked at each other and shrugged. "So, anything interesting happen there?" Cake wondered.

"Not really. I was mostly a damsel in distress, getting rescued by Amnesia-Marshall from the Ice Queen, of all people, because she was my globdamn evil stepmother."

Cake and Gumball stopped walking and looked at each other. I just kept walking to Marshall's house, and knocked on the door. "Marshall? Are you there?"

No noise whatsoever.

"Marshall? I need to talk to you."

"Go away." I heard him say quietly.

"No! You have to listen to me!" I begged. "I..."

He opened the door. He was only in his boxers, with lipstick kisses all over him, and his hair mussed. "...love you too." I finished numbly.

"Fi..." He sighed.

I held up my hand. "Don't say anything." Is it wrong to say I miss Amnesia-Marshall? A lot?

*Author's Note*

Hi, guys. It's Lauren. Yeah, I really am writing this story. *looks around suspiciously for Lee, who has a tendency to pop up in my author's notes, before nodding at his apparent lack of being here*

So... okay, I'll be honest. I miss Amnesia-Marshall too. How am I going to get them out of this one? Um... well, I don't have Olivia, Betty, Jazz... I have no deus ex machinas lined up, in other words. You'll just have to wait for my next chapter.
