As soon as I was up and about, I gave Annie the slip (after telling Marshall I needed 'girl time') and headed over to Jenna's house, while everyone else in the castle were asleep. She was expecting me, of course.

"Let me guess, you want to keep your precious baby and your precious husband, so you've come to renegotiate." She said in that same bored tone.

I shrugged. "Is it that obvious?"

Jenna smirked. "I knew this was coming from the very beginning. Now, it's just you and me, no friends, no Marshall, no baby, and you've come to me, begging on your knees."

"So, will you reconsider?" I pleaded.

"What are you offering?" She asked, seemingly interested.

"Anything- except them, and except what is only Marshall's to give." I said readily.

She pouted. "Rats- I thought I could trick you into giving up the crown."

"Marshall is already mad enough at me." I snapped. "And you would be a terrible queen."

"I notice Marshall hasn't left the Kingdom since he came back with you, and you haven't left either." Jenna observed.

"What about it?" I asked, suspiciously.

"Nothing, nothing. I'm just wondering what Marshall will think if you up and disappear." Jenna said quietly.

"I promised him I wouldn't." I said firmly. "You know that."

Jenna pouted. "Crafty little thing, aren't you? Well, I hope you told him where you were going, because if I can't have him, the baby, or the crown, there's really only one more thing I want."

"Which is?" I asked. I'm ashamed to say I was a little scared of this gold-digging, thinks-she's-so-tough vampire.

Jenna held up a carving knife she had hidden behind the beanbag she was sitting on, and grinned maniacally. "Guess."

 "You're not serious." I gasped.

Jenna examined the knife. "If you run, I will have no choice but to take you down, and take you out. Painfully."

"But-"

"No buts. This will be quick, and admittedly, very painful. After all, that is the purpose, yes? But, I promise when I'm done, I'll leave your annoying kid alone. And Marshall too, because that is our deal, correct?"

I nodded slowly, and she grabbed my arm, grinning maniacally again. "Excellent. Shall we begin?"

"Y-yes..." I stuttered. I was terrified- would I ever even get to see Jazz and Marshall again?

 *Marshall's POV*

I paced the room, before growling to Annie, "Where'd she say she was going again?"

"Uh... the armory, I think."

"And we checked there?"

"You know we did. Besides, she's not your prisoner, Marshall."

"I was aware of that, Annie. She'd have to have Stockholm for Jazz to exist."

Annie popped her gum. "Why are we sitting around being bored out of our minds? Are we really that dependent on Fionna?"

"For conversation? Possibly." I smirked. Obviously I was thinking of something else.

Annie shot me a look, reading my expression. "Your daughter is still in the room. Need I remind you that she's only a baby?"
