Yanking my victims head back, I allowed my fangs to sink in to her flesh. I felt the warm liquid over my tongue before I started drinking. I liked to savour the sweet taste as I listened to the victim begging for me to stop. The sound was like music to my ears and it made me want to drink more. Unfortunately, my delicious feast came to an end as the now-lifeless body was empty from blood. I shrugged and stood up. Wiping away the blood from my mouth, I started my journey home in the silent night.

"Stop!" I heard someone yell. The voice sounded like it was coming from a girl. I was about to ignore it, when I heard another yell followed by a scream. Before I could stop myself, my feet started following the feminine sound. I turned the corner and saw a girl. Even though it was dark out, my abnormal eye sight allowed me a clear view of the human. The girl was around the age of (y.a) and had (h.l) (h.c) hair. Her (e.c) eyes glistened through the night, showing nothing but worry and fear. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the human being. I leaped into action and pulled the guys away from her. For some reason, I felt the need to protect her. I couldn't help but smirk as the gang started to charge towards me. Idiots. They have no idea what they've gotten themselves into. I smiled and licked my fangs on purpose. I couldn't help but chuckle as I watched them all come to a stop. "W-what the hell are you?!" Screamed one guy of the group. His voice sounded brave but the look of fear was visible on his face. I laughed out loud as I ran behind the guy. Of course, because of my supernatural speed, he did not notice until I whispered into his ear, "So you're not going to fight back now?" With that, I started my feast and one-by-one, I drained their bodies of blood. I watched as the fear in their eyes fade as their lifeless bodies fell to the ground. Look of pure terror still clearly visible on their faces. I couldn't help but laugh. Humans amuse me. One minute they believe they are high and mighty, next minute they are sulking in fear
at someone who is tougher and more stronger than they are.

Oh right, the girl. I turned towards the small being, my gaze softening as I looked at the trembling body curled up into a ball. "P-please don't hurt me," soft voice said. I smiled as I knelt down beside her. I put my hand on her shoulder in comfort, before picking her up in bridal style and taking her back to my place. I didn't say anything. I was too lost in my thoughts to do so. Why am I helping this human? I should have just left her -- but my heart wouldn't let me. This is crazy, I don't know her yet I feel this way.

I opened the door to my house, still holding the girl in my arms. Her trembling has stopped but I could tell she was still scared. I set her down on my black leather couch and knelt in front of her, with my hands on her knees. "What's your name?" I smiled slightly as she looked up at me, her (e.c) eyes lightening up as curiosity took over them. "(y.n)." I smiled and nodded, "well, (y.n), my name is Reita. Would  you like a drink?" I saw her nod and made my way into the kitchen. She never told me what she wanted, so I got a glass and filled it with water. I walked back into the living room and sat beside the girl, handing her the glass filled with clear liquid. She took it as I examined her wounds. "We need to get you cleaned up, I will be right back," I saw her nod and made my way to the bathroom. I grabbed the first aid kit and walked back to (y.n).

When I entered the living room, (y.n) was still sitting in the same position I had left her in. I kneeled in front of her and began cleaning her wounds, trying to be as gentle as I could. "So you're a vampire," (y.n) said in a small voice. I looked up at her, shock clearly visible on my face. I wasn't expecting her to ask that. I mean I thought it was obvious. "Yes," I replied. "Why didn't you hurt me?" I froze. I didn't know what to say. It is true. I didn't hurt her. I've killed so many people, yet for some reason I couldn't think of hurting her. "I don't know," I hesitated before continuing on, "something told me to not harm you." I continued cleaning her wounds, feeling sorry every time I saw her wince.

Soon enough, I finished cleaning her wounds. She looked a lot better than before. I put the first aid kit aside snd smiled at her. "You can stay here for the night, (y.n), let me go find you something to wear." I left her alone and walked into my room. I opened my closet and looked through my clothes. I assumed because of (y.n)'s clothes, her favourite colours are (f.c) and (s.f.c), so I picked out a (f.c) top and (s.f.c) boxer shorts. I walked back into the living room and handed her the clothes, she smiled and thanked me before leaving the room. I smiled.

I was reading a novel waiting for (y.n). I looked up when I felt another presence in the room. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes. Standing in front of me was the most beautiful girl I've ever set my eyes on. "So, how is it?" (Y.n) asked, twirling a strand of hair around her finger. "You're beautiful," I smiled. She blushed a little before asking me where the guess room was. I pointed her toward the way and watched her leave. Truth is, I didn't have a guess room. I pointed her towards my room. I guess I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight, but I don't mind.

~the next morning~

I awoken to the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs. I sat up, stretching, as the sleeping beauty walked into the room. "Good morning, Reita-San." She smiled over at me and I felt my heart flutter. I know it's too soon, but I think I love her. "Would you like something to eat?" I asked her, trying to get rid of these annoying thoughts. "I received a text this morning from my mother and she wants me home. I told her I was at a friends house," I nodded sadly and she smiled. "I wanted to know.. is this the last time I'll get to see you?" I looked over at her and saw her looking down with a sad gaze. I got off of the couch and walked over to her, using my index finger, I tilted her head so that she was looking at me. Her eyes held a bit of sadness. "Do you want this to be the last time?" Her eyes filled with tears as she shook her head no. "N-no, you're the first person to care for me." I pulled her in for a hug. I felt her arms wrap around my waist and her head on my chest. "I'll always be there for you."

After what seemed like forever but was only a minute or two, we let each other go. "You can keep the clothes," I smiled. I heard her giggle and nod. I walked her towards the door and, before she left, she leaned up and kissed my cheek. I smiled, "see you later?" She giggled and nodded before walking off.

I stood there for a minute longer before shutting the door. I didn't know vampires had feelings. That's when I realized, I was thirsty. Not for blood. But I was thirty for her love.
