The last chapter might have seemed KINDA confusing. But basically I took parts that happened in my last book and made them as memories just now. The part that's italicized is what was going on now and that part that's normal is a memory or flashback. Just clarifying that. And if you don't remember what happened before, here's what went down:
1. After Phil runs away from home bc drunk dad
2. Dan first sitting with him at lunch
3. Dan walking Phil home after he slipped
5. School shooting
