I walk out of the hospital and shield my eyes from the sun. It's so bright compared to the dimness of the hospital room. And my legs feel like jelly from laying down for so long.
My cast covered left arm hangs from a sling. I look as my mother approaches in her car. She stops and I open the door and climb in.
"How are you doing?" She asks me, driving away from the hospital.
"I'm fine. It just hurts a little bit." I smile at her to give her reassurance.
"Okay."
She drives us home and I head to my room. Luckily, my iPod wasn't broken in the crash. I skim through the songs, selecting one and laying down on my bed.
My arm throbs softly, sending out a little signal of pain. I sit up again, my head starting to spin from the sudden motion.
I take an ear bud out and thrown my legs over the side of the bed. I walk out to the living room and notice mom sleeping in the armchair. I smile and grab a piece of paper, writing a quick few words on it before leaving it on the coffee table, giving her a kiss on the forehead, and walking out the door, Headed to Liz's house once again.
"Fuck, I hate these kinds of days..."
Mist pooled around the air, making it hard to see a few hundred yards in front of me. I scoffed, the moisture in the air making my hair fizz and puff
I get to Liz's front door, raising my hand to knock on the door.
