"Akio!" Kai said again knocking on his door. "AKIO?!" she said once more before entering his room to see him covered in a thick blanket on top of a cushion with tea steaming right next to him.

He sneezes before he shivers himself back into his blanket. Kai bit the side of her cheek as she crouches right next to him to feel his hot head. "You have a fever."

"I know." he said weakly. "Which means I'm unable to got to school with you."

Kai frowns at his words before she stands up. "How did you get sick?"

"Well..."

"After you passed out," he continued "you wouldn't share the blanket with me so

"After you passed out," he continued "you wouldn't share the blanket with me so... it's your fault."

"What?! But when I felt you from before you were warm." She exclaimed.

"Well, I was cold-" he sneezes into his sleeve and clutches onto his blanket.

"I'm sorry. I hope you get better." she frowns again as she pets his silky hair before she walked towards the door, but something grabbed her wrist. "Please stay."

She looks over her shoulder to see his head red and his eyes was hazy from being so sick. "Please stay, I don't want to be lonely."

Kai hesitates about the time, but leaves his room.

Then comes back with a tray with 2 plates of sliced roll cake and muffins, an extra tea cup, and a tea pot. "On sick days, I'd always drink peach tea with my mom."

"Oh, really?" he said taking a plate from Kai's hands.

"Yeah. She's the best mom. I wish you can meet her, she'd be pleased to have you."

"Oh haha. What is your culture?"

"I'm part French, British, and a little bit of Irish. So my culture is really interesting and ironic, haha."

"Wow, I never knew. I'd only hear stories my brother would tell me. Some of them being boring, but it was interesting when he'd talk about you. Being the champion in music, and a professional surfer. The things you've done bound to be much more interesting."

"Well not until that accident..." It caught Akio's attention as she looked away "I used to be a professional until the incident happened."

"What happened? You barely mention it." He questioned.

"Theres a reason why I never mentioned it. Its the cause that made me lose ny everything. . ." She took a deep breathe as she calms herself "Back when I was a professional. I was well known for many things. A Writer. An Editor. A violinist. A skateboarder! I was famous at Brooklyn. Until one day, I came over to The French Polynesia with a couple of friends as I've been on a bucket list spree: To ride the 10 most dangerous waves. And I was going up against 'Teahupoo' the most heaviest wave in the world as some would say; it was 12 feet high before they got engulfed by the beast. I was such a daredevil as I would go against life threatening waves and somehow make it either the 1st or 3rd try. It was a miracle. Until one day, I brought my board out to what I thought was the perfect day to get surfing. I went into shore and rid my board into the harsh waves in my swimsuit and my lucky board I've brought for the entire trip. Once I heard waves roaring behind me, I knew it was time to start paddling. I paddled and paddled, and I stood up on my board riding the monstrous wave."

She took a bite of her roll cake and breathes out from the satisfying taste.

"What happened next?" He questions taking a sip of his tea.

She clears her throat and continues. He sounded like a little kid, cute. "Just when I was about to leave the wave, something jolted my board sweeping me off my feet and collapse with the wave. I was pushed everywhere as the wave rolls on top of me, beating me to the bottom struggling to find the top as my ankle was pulled with my board, finally finding myself at the surface. Gasping for air as my head was dizzy from the knock down I just had witnessed, until something arose from the depths of the sea. All my friends looked at me in terror as they yelled 'SHARK!' It was a great white shark as it flew above me, until I find myself taking another dip into the ocean. Knocked out from the impact of the shark, another wave crashes into me. And I woke up on one of the high rocks close to shore. I was partially asleep as I lifted my head to see my friends run towards me, then the next, I was in the hospital. With a fractured rib and wrist. I'm much scared as the thing I've done almost took my life away. And so, I lost my pride and courage in surfing. Then later on, I got myself into music and played the violin, to cover it all up. . .to distract me as a new hobby."

"I'm sorry about from what happened to you. It must've been a scary thing to witness." He faintly frowns as he wrapped his entire body with the blanket instead of his face.

She shook her head "oh no it's fine. I just blame my horrible jet lag, I was on low tide." Waving her fork at him. "Now when I look at the ocean, I'd always feel like I'm looking for someone"

"You could still be a hero Kai, something that scarring couldn't just take your passion away. You've just lost yourself, that's all. All you've been doing was looking for yourself. Shaken up. . . . Sooner or later, you're going to brush your shoulders and try again from the beginning."

His words consumed her words as she had lost them. She peered at the sick one and faintly smiled.

"You may have lost your battle with the ocean, but your still my hero. Like what I've read in a book it said: You must forge your own path for it to mean anything. What path have you've been taking?"

". . . . Something that means the world to me."
