(Sorry it's kinda short)

"You know I love how much you help out and donate." I was laying on my bed on the phone with Justin.

"I just really like to help out because I feel for those people that don't have enough because I've been there."

"You're using your fame for such a good cause."

"If only the paparazzi saw it that way. I feel like they only take in the bad parts of my life."

"That's what they live for... The bad parts. A nice story just doesn't entertain people as much and that's the sad part of it all."

"They can amplify the bad all they want as long as my fans and the people I care for the most know that my intentions are good I'm all okay with it."

"You're great."

"I try, I try." He teased

"So Ryan comes back tomorrow."

"We only have two weeks until we'll be so far apart."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Where do we go from here?"

I took a long pause before answering. "I'm unsure."

"I am too."

"How do you think we can make this work?" I was tensing up.

"I have no definite schedule."

"That makes it all the harder."

"I know and I'm sorry for that, but there's nothing I can do to change it."

"No I completely understand I would never stop you from living your dreams, it's just I kinda wish I could have some time with you ya know?"

"Yeah."

"What a blunt answer."

"No sorry I was just thinking."

"About?"

"Why don't you just come on your with me?"

"You can't be serious."

"Just think about it. We could spend everyday together. You could see the entire world with me."

"Justin that's ridiculous."

"Why?"

"Because people do not just stop and leave everything to go on a worldwide tour with their 13-day secret boyfriend"

"Consider it?"

"There's nothing to consider. This isn't some romance novel, it's reality, and besides my mother would flip if I ran off with you instead of going to the college I worked so hard to get into."

"You're an adult now you make your own decisions."

I sighed "Promise me something?"

"Anything."

"Promise me that we'll live for this moment. That we'll let tomorrow decide itself?"

"I promise."

"Goodnight Justin."

"Goodnight Scarlett."

................................................................

"You're back!" I embraced Ryan.

"I'm back!" He squealed

"So how were your last two weeks."

"They were amazing! I went sight seeing and partied in Hollywood."

"Glad you enjoyed it!"

"So how are you doing?" He frowned

"Huh?" Then I remembered "It's been hard, but I'm getting by." I did my best to look upset.

"Don't worry you'll get over it soon enough. So I heard he followed you to the airport and I saw your cat fight with Selena on tv. What was that all about?"

"She pissed me off, so I took action. Then Justin followed me into the plane and begged for forgiveness."

"I'm glad you're not stupid enough to fall into all that again. He's dangerous." It was the same word that my mother had used.

"Uh, right of course."

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine so let me help you unpack."

"Some stuff smells."

"Fair warning. Ok let's start."

After three hours of sorting and washing we were laying exhausted on Ryan's bed.

"Can I take a look through this?" I asked picking up one of his photo albums.

"Haven't you looked through that a billion times already?"

"But this time it's different."

"How so?"

"Well I've been having these flashbacks of sorts ever since that day I woke up in the hospital. I suppose it was because the traumatic experience blew away the one I had when I was 13."

"Scarlett that's great you're getting your memory back!"

"It only took 5 years." I laughed

I flipped through the pages stopping on a 13 year old Ryan.

"That's it!"

"What?"

"You it was you in the memory!"

"Enlighten me as to which memory you recall me in."

"The one where I got electrocuted."

"Oh." Was all he could say. "I'm so sorry."

"No there's nothing you could've done it was my fault." I paused. "Wait so if one of the boys was you... Who was the other?"

His eyes went wide. "He was just a friend of ours not very important."

"But he's been in all the other flashbacks too. Was he really close with us?"

"Jason? Yeah. We spent a long time with him until one day he kinda just moved away. Haven't heard of him since."

"Oh. Well this Jason I feel like there's something I'm missing about him."

"Maybe your flashbacks will help your sort that out."

"Yeah guess so."

I felt someone snake their arms around my waste.

"Ryan!" I screamed, but when I turned it was Justin. "What are you doing here?"

"To see Ryan? Why are you so jumpy?"

Ryan's eyes fell to where Justin was still holding my waist.

"What do you think you're doing?"

Justin looked at me with a face of confusion, but I pleaded him to play along.

"How are ya bud?" They did their little bro shake.

"Just great so you mind telling me why you're still after my little sis when she's clearly not into it?"

"Well what can I say?" He looked over at me. "Guess she's just irresistible."

"That she is, but I really want you to back off alright? Last time you guys dated it was hectic. Promise me that all of us can just stay friends?"

"Uh yeah sure of course."

"Scarlett I didn't hear anything from you."

"Yeah sure Ryan I promise."

"Good. That's just the way it should be." He slung an arm around both of us smiling.

Great move. Now I was lying to the one person who I've never lied to in my entire life. My best friend.
