It had been almost four months now, since Justin had vanished from my life. In the course of these four moths I told Ryan everything to which he was upset about since I lied, but he got over it. Ryan and Justin were still close and they still hung out, I was just absent for those weekends. My memory is still recovering, but not very much. The first month was difficult but eventually everything simmered down. Liam had become a close friend and we agreed that there was absolutely nothing to occur between the two of us besides a friendship. Chaz and Fiona are still going strong and we've formed a bit of a group the five of us. Fiona helped me the most through all of the drama and for that I can never thank her enough. The semester is now over and it's Christmas break which means that I'm headed back to Stratford.

"Scarlett! I'm so glad to see you!" I was embraced in the warm scent of my mother.

"I've missed you mom." I hugged her back dropping my bags.

"Let me help you get those. It's freezing out here." I smiled

"It's fine mom I'll get them myself."

"I never thought I'd live to see the day that my Scarlett would pick up her own bags. College sure is having an impact in your maturity."

"Oh stop it mom." I lugged my bags in the house. Shaking off all the snow."

"How was the drive?"

"It was alright. How are you?"

"I'm great. Why don't you get settled and then we'll talk." I took of my coat hanging it in the closet and went up to my old room to set down my things.

"Oh good you're down." She gave a warm smile handing me a mug of hot coco. We walked over to the couch to sit down. "So how is everything?"

"Things are going pretty good. All the people I've met are very sweet and the professors seem to like me enough."

"I'm glad to hear it."

"So what are our plans for these two weeks?"

"Well tonight Mrs. Butler and I have planned a welcome back dinner for you and Ryan, but I understand if you're tired and would rather rest."

"No that sounds fun." I smiled

"Great then you can help me cook pretty please?"

I laughed walking into the kitchen to get the ingredients out. I always liked cooking beside my mother. She put on Christmas music and danced along while mixing things.

"Alright we're all done!" She cheered after about 3 hours of cooking.

"You want me to clean up?" I asked

"Oh no you just go and make yourself look nice. I'll handle things down here."

After a hot shower and a good blow dry I got changed into a sweater dress thinking it was fitting for the holiday seasons. I applied a little make-up and walked down the stairs and onto the couch with my phone waiting.

The doorbell run about 10 minutes later. "Scarlett would you get that? I'm almost done getting dressed." My mom yelled from upstairs.

"Got it!" I yelled back walking to the front door.

"Oh, erm. Hello." I was taken aback

"Scarlett, Honey it's been too long." I was captured in an embrace

"Please, come in." I gestured awkwardly into my home.

"Jazzy, Jaxon, say hello." She asked them nicely.

They both waved at me with smiles to which I waved back. I had forgotten that my mother had become such close friends with Mrs. Mallette. I was just glad she didn't bring Justin with her.
