Michael stares at me. I think he does that because he knows it makes me nervous. Its that special kind of stare that says 'Im looking right through you and you cant do anything about it'. He just keeps staring and I look out the window, blushing.

"Do you want to talk about anything Michael?"

He shakes his head. "Not particularly." He just keeps staring.

I nod. "You know I dont like staring." I say unconvincingly.

He looks me up and down. "I was unaware."

I bite my lip and feel on the side of the door. "It's a beautiful day."

Michael gives me a look. "Dont give me that line. You know I want something." He says huskily.

I slowly cut my eye at him. "What is that?"

"I want.. a destination." He says finally.

I turn my head at him. "What?"

"Where do you want to go? This is your day to plan."

I take a deep breath. I thought he wanted something completely different for a minute there.

"Are you working tomorrow?"

He nods. "I have rehearsal for a performance with Slash."

Oh wow. A performance. Ive always wanted to see him perform a song live at an award show. He is such an amazing performer.

"I love Slash." I say, smiling.

He looks at me and I look down. "As a guitarist." I correct.

He raises his eyebrow and nods slowly. "Mhm."

Maybe I should just pick something for us to do before he just makes me uncomfortable.

"Well I have something for right now." He says.

I gulp. I kinda dont wanna know. He is so unpredictable.

"Wait. I need to do something. Stop right here." He instructs the driver.

The driver stops and he gets out and runs into a store. I sit back and watch the cars go by. No one must know we're here. I look out the window to my right and I see a payphone. I instantly get the idea to run over to the payphone and call my grandparents. I have some change. My heart starts beating fast at the thought of doing that. It will only take a short while. I will call them, say hello, tell them Im okay and then hang up. I will be back in the car within five minutes. I open the door and the driver looks at me.

"Where are you going?"

"I just have to use the phone." I say.

"We have a carphone." He says, raising his eyebrow.

I close the door. "Its kinda a personal call. It'll only be a few minutes."

I rush to the payphone pod and I close the door behind me. I dig in my pockets to pull out the change, dropping some as Im rushing. I quickly and sloppily put the coins into the slot and I hear the dial tone. I dial the numbers as fast as I can and it starts ringing.

"Come on, come on."

I try to rush the phone. "Pick up!"

"Hello?" I hear my grandmother's voice on the other end of the phone.

I sigh deeply. "Thank God."

"Who is this?" She asks.

Before I can answer I hear a tapping on the door and I turn around quickly, looking guilty as ever. Michael is leaning on the door frame, analyzing the situation.
