HIM
I made up my mind, I was going to make up with her. She was one of the people who wasn't all that bothered with my temper and she was always the first to apologize. It was time to make a change.
I stopped the car in front of her apartment building. The numbers on the car watch said it was barely six. My mind wandered off, remembering something that happened a year ago.
It was winter and she invited me to her place to watch a rerun of my favorite football game. I had gotten into a "fight" with Feliciano and Antonio so she decided to cheer me up. Before the episode ran we made small, square pizzas and even had a flour-throwing competition.
At first I thought that that was when I started to fall in love with her, but now that I think about it maybe I already loved her from the very beginning.
It wasn't something like love at first sight. It was more like love at the first moment. The first moment you find someone who makes your heart beat faster and who makes it calmer all the same. The first moment you realize that you can feel something that you only feel when you're with that person.
She was my The First Moment. It took a while but I've decided to finally accept it. I never needed to think about it, I've felt it all the time, I was just running away.
I parked the car and got out with the gift in my hand. Slowly, I made my way up to her apartment. I tapped on the door with my fist, and waited.
HER
The world never felt so still nor so cold.
It was another afternoon spent by the cliff, and all I did was wait for the sun to set. The soft glow of orange against the uneven waters took my breath away. I wanted everything to feel like that again. Like everything was okay and they never went away.
I inhaled the salty air and paid no attention to my phone's constant ringing. I let the wind caress me as I watched the sun dip lower down the sea.
