Lisa's POV
I managed to snatch my iPod as I ran out the door. That was a close call! I put in my earplugs and blared Aerosmith, my favorite band ever. I sat down on a near by bench, trying to regain my breath. While I was running from the house, I herd my dad call my name to make me come back. That was not going to happen, at least for a while.
I put my hands on my knees, bending over gasping as much air into my lungs that I could. I lived in the middle of nowhere, so this train was a long shot to get to. But hey, I made it! I took my small luggage of my back and set it on the ground.
Still trying to catch my breath, People stared at me as they walked by on the sidewalk. I wandered if this train would ever come. I needed to go at that moment, or my dad would catch up to me and who knows what he would do with me then. I was soon shooken from my thoughts and music.
"Need a ride, hun?" Someone said. I kept my head down and noticed the man standing in front of me had on heeled boots and bell bottom jeans. That's quite a style I'm in to.
"Huh? What?" I said taking out my earbud.
"I said would you like a ride? You look like you could use a hand." The strange man said. I looked up and long be hold! There was a confused Steven Tyler standing right in front of me. He was probably in his mid 30s.
"Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I didn't realize it was you Mr. Tyler!! I am a huge fan!" I overfilled with excitement and nervousment.
What are the chances of meeting Steven Tyler of AEROSMITH in a time like this?! I thought to myself.
He laughed, "Well thank you!"
"And to anwser your question, yes I would really appreciate a ride right now. But we have to hurry. I will explain on the way." I said with anxiousness. I herd my dad call my name from the distence. I had to leave. Now.
"Well ok miss," Steven said confused.
I grabbed my luggage and put it on my back. Steven offered his hand to help me up, and I gladly took it. Not just because he was the lead singer in my favorite band and my idol, but because I needed it.
"My motorcycle is right this way. I can get pretty far pretty fast with this bad boy!" Steven said, still confused with me rushing him.
I herd my dad calling my name again. He was getting closer. Too close for comfort.
"Steven hurry!!" I panicked. He helped me on his motorcycle then swung his leg around the bike.
"Alright hold my waist tight. This baby has quite a kick." Steven said as he jammed the key into the bike. We fassened out helmets on. He started it up and like that we were off. He was right, the motorcycle did start off with a kick. I jumped and launched my hands around his waist.
"I'm headed to Austin, Texas!" I said over the loud noise of the bike. I made sure my luggage was secured on my back.
"Okay miss... What is your name?" Steven asked.
"Oh right sorry, my name is Lisa Davidson."
"That's a nice name!" I herd him mumble under his breath: Lisa... Lisa... Lisa.
I was so scared I didn't respond to his compliment. I turned around and saw my dad standing at the bench I just sat at waiting for the train. I was so scared that he would race after me. He just stood there with that devious, crooked Cheshire Cat smile.
"Oh I will get you some day missy." My father yelled coldly.
I gripped Steven's waist tighter. Though, with Steven I just felt different. And I now I just met the guy but I couldn't deny it. I felt safer with him. But I was not sure if I wanted to open up and try to care about someone agian. Only time would tell.
Steven must have noticed because he said "Hey what's the matter? Who is that your are looking at?" He asked. I could tell he was genuinely concerned.
"That's my dad, Scott. He hit me and hurt me alot when I was younger. I'm just scared that he will find me someway, and if he does then my golly he will not be happy." I said as Steven looked back at me. I was scared in all ways. A shiver was sent up my spine. I tried my best to hide it, but Steven noticed how scared I actually was. Heck he practically stared into my sole I yanked it out! He read my facial expressions too good.
"Hey it's ok Lisa. He is not going to hurt you. I refuse to let him." Steven has such a reassuring tone I couldn't help myself but hold on to those words and believe him. He was going to live up to his word. I knew that much.
"Thanks Steven. You really did not have to give me a ride. But shoot if you didn't..." my mind drifted into terrible thoughts that could have happened if my dad caught me.
"I just don't know what my dad would have done to me.""Well you are safe now, Lisa. I am glad I saw you." He said with a smile.
Just then my iPod blarred out "Cryin'" by Aerosmith.
"Oh my gosh this is so embarrassing! Ah! I thought I put it-" I was stopped.Steven laughed. "Its ok! I happen to be familiar with that song. Crank it up! After all, we have a long drive to Texas!"
And so I cranked up the music and we both sang along. My worries of my father were blown away. Gone. Maybe not for good, but Steven certainly eased them.
I kept a tight grip on Steven's waist as He drove to Austin, Texas. This was going to be quite an adventure.
