Steven's POV

Something about this women drove me crazy, not to mention she was pretty damn cute. In all my 35 years, she made my heart pound unlike my other relationships. I know I just meet her, but she was different. And I like that.

Lisa's POV

Steven stopped at a gas station to fill up his bike. We pulled up to a Shell gas station and he turned off the ignition. He hopped of the seat and put the gas nozzle into the bike.

"If you are hungry then you can go in and get something to snack on?" He said as he continued to pump the gas.

"Yeah that would be great! I am feeling a little hungry." I smiled at him and he sensed my nervousness.

"Okay then let me finish up pumping the gas and I will be right in there. You can go ahead and pick out whatever your little heart desires." A smile grew across his face.

I laughed. "Okay then!" I took of my luggage and put it to the side of the bike along with the helmet Steven gave me and his leather jacket, which was a little big for me.

I walked in the gas station to the pre-made sandwitche aisle. I put my finger on my lips, deciding which one I should get.

I jumped as I felt a strong hand swing around my waist. "Oh man you scared me Steven!" He eased my nervousness with that. I blushed.

He laughed, " You jump easily don't you? Well these sandwitches look mighty fine to me!" He leaned down and picked up a turkey sandwich.

"Yes I do! I think that sandwich is a good choice! I might just have to copy you with that one!" I laughed.

"Well okay copy cat!" Steven said playfully as a smile spread across his face from ear to ear.

I was nervous because he still had his hand around my waist. But at that moment, it was keeping my legs from going limp.

"I think I will get a water also." I said as Steven let go of my waist. I walked over to the bottled waters in the fridge area.

"Sounds good to me! I might need one also!"

We grabbed our waters and walked up to the cash register to pay. Steven flipped out his wallet, while hiding something. I couldn't quite tell what it was.

"Oh no Steven I got this one. I am the one who was hungry anyways." I said as I shuffled through the back pocket of my jeans to find a 20 dollar bill.

"No it's cool, really. I got this." Steven handed his card to the employee and paid.

I felt bad making him pay, but I knew he wanted to. We walked out of the gas station and headed back Steven's orange motorcycle. It was cute seeing Steven insist that he pay.

I giggled. "You tryna impress me?"

"Hmm perhaps..." Steven smiled that kind of grin of a little boy that just got away with stealing a cookie from the cookie jar before dinner. I couldn't help myself but laugh. It was too cute.

We sat down next to the bike to eat our sandwitches, and drink our waters. We both had been hungry.
And out of nowhere, Steven pulled out a single cookie.

"Well well well I got to say I am impressed! How did you sneak that one past me?" I giggled at his smile. So that is what he was hiding behind his wallet. Fair game!

He had the proudest and sassiest grin on his face. Steven opened the cookie from the wrapper.
"I've learned a few tricks." he winked at me.

"Oh ok then!" We each took a bite from it until it was all gone. I was overwhelmed with feelings from this guy. I have never felt this before. The only person I trusted and truly loved was my mother, until she "passed away" according to my dad. I had other ideas.

"Well that was a desert to the lunch!" Steven said as he threw away our trash in a nearby trashcan.

"Mmmhmm!" I said in delight.

He helped me off the ground. I grabbed the jacket Steven gave to me earlier and was about to put it on, when I was stopped.

"No, let me." Steven said motioning to his leather jacket. He looked at me with clear eyes. I knew he was falling for me.

It took all the might in me to hold back from kissing him, but he was such a gentleman. I needed to know if he was into me. There was only one way to find out.

Steven picked up his jacket and swung it around my shoulders. I put my arms in then picked up my luggage and secured it in on my back. He walked out in front of me and straightened the jacket on me.

I could not hold it back anymore. He looked so sexy standing there. I cupped his face in my hands and kissed him. He kissed me back. I felt his hands find my waist, and excitment ran through me. At that moment, I knew I could open up to Steven, but I wasn't sure if I was ready just yet.

We pulled back. "What was that for?" He asked with that same proud sexy smile on his face.

I blushed in excitement. I tilt my head down at my feet in an attempt to hide it. I felt his finger under my chin as he nugged my chin up to meet his chocolate eyes. I bit my lip in attempt to hide my excitement.

"Because I was curious, and that kiss answered my question." I said with a smile inching across my face.

"Well in that case," He said and leaned in for another kiss. His hands never left my waist. I reached up and put my arms around his neck.

Man, he is a good kisser! That kiss answered my questions. He was into me, but I didn't want to dig too deep just yet. I wanted to ease into things and adjust to a new life. Without my dad.

We pulled back once more. "We should get going. We are almost to Austin." I said though every bone in my body told me to keep on kissin'. I had to fight it if I knew what was best, not only for me but for Steven too.

"Yea. Alright let's get cracking!" He helped me on the bike then got on.

I put my hands around his waist, and gave him a hug, if you can call it that. He looked back and gave me that cute smile.

"Oh you are such a flirt!" I giggled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

He laughed and put the motorcycle in drive. And we we're off again.

"About 40 more minutes and we will be in Austin!" Steven said as he pulled out of the gas station.

Steven slamed on the gas. I jerked in response, and only gripped his waist tighter. I got closer and put my head on his shoulder. He looked back with his big brown eyes and smiled.

I was falling for this man. Though it would be tough for me to open up and try to love again, I was up for the challenge. And I knew he was too.
