You Are Who I Love

Lisa's POV

7:00 a.m.
November 10th, 1985

Today was the wedding. The day I would finally marry the love of my life, and I couldn't wait.

I woke up to the sweet sound of Steven playing the piano. I walked down stairs and leaned against the rail, watching him.

"I could stay awake

Just to hear you breathing.

Watch you smile while your

Sleeping, while your far away

And dreaming." He looked up and noticed me watching him with a smug grin.

"That's beautiful baby." I said and walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his torso.

He stood up and spun around, facing me.

"I know you are, but what am I?" he chuckled

I laughed and kissed his nose "Adorable."

He smiled and kissed me on the lips.

We had a calm morning. I made breakfast and coffee then called the wedding planner to make sure everything was almost done being set up. I had to leave the house at 1:00 p.m., and it was 12:00 a.m. now so I took a shower, blow dried my hair, and changed into some comfortable clothes.

I kissed Steven goodbye until I would marry him.

I felt my anxiety levels rising. I was so nervous, yet so excited to marry Steven. Ruth must have noticed because she walked over and put her hands on my shoulders.

"You can do this Lisa." She said resassuringly

I nodded and took a glance in the floor length mirror. I was wearing my beautiful sexy mermaid dress, and Ruth and the rest of the bridesmaids were wearing light yellow dresses. We were all stunning. Everyone took their positions, and the wedding was about to begin.

My hair was in a braided bun with bangs framing my face on the outside. Then the music began.

The doors were opened for me, and I stepped out. I met my brother, and locked my arm in his. Then we walked down the isle seeing my uncle and aunt. They gave genuine us smiles, and I finally caught Steven's eye.

He was very sharp. He was dressed in a baby blue searsucker tuxedo, with his iconic heeled shoes and a scarf. His hair was extra fluffy, and his sunglasses were hanging in his tux pocket.

I giggled uncontrollably and saw tears stream down Steven's cheeks, looking me up and down. Andrew walked me to the end of the carpet, kissed me on the cheek, wished me good luck, then I joined Steven.

We locked gazes and I brushed the tears off his cheekbones with my thumbs then kissed him quickly.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are here for the marriage of two wonderful people, and to wish them luck on this new journey of their lives." The marriage officant next to us said

Steven looked into my deep hazel eyes and began his vows. "Lisa, we have had a wild wild ride, and I have been trying to prepare how to put how I feel for you into words. Nothing just could describe how amazing you are. With you, I am a better person. I think of you every second I am not with you." he paused as tears were collected in my eyes. I smiled and he continued.

"Lisa Lane I don't ever want to be separated from you. I love you, baby. You are the light of my life. You are what keeps me going when I have nothing left to go on. No matter what the situation, you always manage to make someone smile about it. I love You, my Nature Queen" He said, and I could see how much he wanted to kiss me, but we didn't.

I smiled wildly as tears slipped down my cheeks. I wiped them away then began my vows.

"I now pronounce you Man and Wife. You may now kiss your bride, Mr. Tyler." The marriage officiant said

Steven grinned wildly and scooped me up in his arms. I giggled uncontrollably as he leaned me back, and kissed me passionately, all awhile our friends and family were cheering and clapping.

Everyone cheered as we were led to the reception.

Steven swooped me in his arms and spun me around as we led the first dance to Who You Love by John Mayer.

He twirled me around and into his chest. I wrapped my hands around his neck as he did so around my waist.

"You are who I love." he whispered in my ear

I giggled and nuzzeled my head in the crook of his neck.

When the song was over, everyone else danced and I introduced Steven to my Aunt and Uncle.

Lauren leaped into my arms and nearly toppled me over. "I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU GIRL!" She squealed

I laughed hard "Thanks. You are getting big!" I said as Steven put his hand on the small of my back.

"Yeah. Lets go party! Except I can't drink... But you can!" She squeelezed, dragging me with her to the bar. I dragged Steven with me too who only chuckled and followed me.

I was finally married to the love of my life, Ruth had a baby on the way, and my life was finally perfect.
