Challenge

A small smirk had graced your features on instinct and you gave your lover a challenging look. "Are you challenging me?" Your voice came out confident though you don't know why. It was very likely that you would be the loser no matter what happened.

He raised his eyebrow as the corner of his mouth twitched, wanting to smirk. "Did it sound like anything else?" What a cocky boy this vampire was. Yeah, he was strong as all hell and he could be clever when he wanted to be. But cocky, this was new to you.

"Fine." You replied bluntly, quickly pushing yourself out of the water and onto him, but unfortunately he was super fast and saw that move coming a mile away. You landed right back in the water, though you hurriedly popped back out and searched for Subaru once more.

"You suck at this." His deep voice came from behind you and you twirled around instantly, meeting his scarlet gaze.

"Well, that's not fair." You stated, pointing at him as if accusing him of something he'd never done. "You're way faster and stronger than me."

Subaru brought his hand to his mouth, covering it and tilting his head to the side a bit. It was as if he was trying to not laugh. That bastard. You thought, biting your lip and deciding to splash at him harshly. "Shut up."

This seemed to catch his attention because he stopped and lowered his hand, a smirk now revealed. "Make me."

I'm glad i'm writing more, it makes me feel more accomplished and not like scum. I hope you all enjoyed this part and I hope you enjoy the next one as well. Hopefully it will be just as long or maybe even longer. Who knows? Thank you all for reading my story :) I love every single one of you <3
