(Alleya's POV)
It was dark and cold. I could see my breath, white against the pitch dark. I heard voices, so I scuttled back, hitting my head on a wall. My hand was covered in a warm sticky substance. The smell suggested it was blood. Though I didn't know whose.
As my eyes adjusted to the dark, I could just barely make out my cabin. This confused me considering I was in a room.
Despite the creepiness, I hopped up and ran to my cabin. I pressed my hands to the side and felt my way to the door. Once I had found the handle, I threw the door open and stepped inside. It was dark, but not quiet.
You could hear the whispers of he other Athena daughters. This comforted me.
"Hello?" I asked, just to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.
"Alleya? Is that you?" I heard Annabeth ask.
"Oh my gods! Annabeth! Where are you?" I exclaimed.
"Where are you?"
"By the door," I answered.
I heard a thump, then a pair of feet stomping towards me. A hand was placed on my shoulders. They felt their way up until they found my face. Annabeth grabbed my nose and felt my eyebrows, which was a little weird if you ask me.
"Alleya! My gods, it's you!" She wrapped me into a bear hug so tight, I couldn't breathe.
I heard one of my cabin mates cough and another one starting to complain about the dark. Annabeth released me from my hug and started bombarding me with questions.
"How did you get here? What happened? Are we dead?" Were just a few questions I was asked.
"I blacked out. I think we were kidnapped, and I hope to the gods we aren't dead," were my answers.
All of the sudden, the world was spinning and I collapsed to the floor. When I picked myself up, it was no longer dark. And I was no longer in the Athena cabin. Instead, I was in Camp Half-Blood. And trust me, I wish I wasn't.
In front of me was a scene that I wish I could burn from my mind. There stood Gen. And Percy. Making out.
My best friend and my crush. Kissing. And to make the matters worse, Gen had a boyfriend. I can't believe she was cheating on him!
I was spinning again. I crashed to the ground and landed on a pile of pine needles. Fresh blood trickled down my arm.
I looked up and found them kissing again. This time, Percy had her pinned against a tree. I felt my heart snap, just like the branch overhead that knocked me out.
Seconds later I was up. Dried blood caked my arm and there was a horrible throbbing in my head from the stupid branch.
I was almost scared to look at where I was now because I had a strong feeling that Gen and Percy would be somewhere nearby, kissing.
And I was right. As soon as I turned around, I was met by the kissing couple. I felt betrayal and rage boil up inside of me. How could Gen do this to me? To Luke? You could practically see the sparks flying off those two. It sickened me.
I closed my eyes and willed myself to return to the dark cabin, but my wish was not granted. Each time I opened my eyes I was greeted with one of the three kisses, played on repeat.
This was what she was doing after I got kidnapped? Does she even know that I'm gone? More importantly, does she care?
The anger changed to sadness as I realized how little my friends actually cared about me. I guess you don't know people as well as you think you do.
The ground turned. I prayed that I wasn't going to face more of the traitors. Please just take me back to the cabin!
I was on the ground in a dark cell, surrounded by the weird fish things from camp. Each one had a needle and a wire that connected to my brain. They had made me see what I just saw.
"Those images were fake? Are you kidding me?" I shouted.
"No," one of the creatures hissed, "Those images were quite real. Now, are you ready for the next test?"
A needle was jabbed into my shoulder and warm, burning liquid courses through my veins. Once it reached my heart, I screamed. It felt like a million knifes stabbing my chest repeatedly.
The pain was so intense, I blacked out and spiraled into another vision.
