(Alleya's POV)

In the next test I was dumped in the middle of the lake. I looked around to see if I could see anything of importance. There were no monsters, so that was good.

I decided to swim downstream to see if I could find anything there. I saw somebody kneeling by the water and tried to swim faster to reach them. My jacket was weighing me down, so I climbed out of the water and dumped it in a nearby bush.

I then climbed back into the water and started swimming toward the person. Only, that person wasn't there. I started to worry. Maybe they fell in and drowned.

I swim faster until I reached the spot where they used to be. I looked around to make sure they didn't just wander off. Then I dove underwater and opened my eyes. The dirty lake water stung my eyes, but I couldn't let this person drown, even if this was just a figment of my imagination.

In the murky water, I could just barely make out a figure that looked a lot like Gen. Despite what she had done, I still had to help her.

I swam down and grabbed her wrist just before she hit the bottom. I dragged her back to the surface and hauled her out of the water.

Her eyes were closed and she wasn't breathing. She must've swallowed some water. I racked my brain for the proper maneuver, and once I found it, I preformed it. It took a couple of tries, but I finally got her to come to.

She coughed and blinked her eyes repeatedly. "Alleya!" She exclaimed. Gen seemed really surprised to see me, and I found that surprising. I pulled away from her a little bit, feeling slightly hurt.

"Yeah, it's me. Why do you seem so surprised?" I asked. She laughed nervously and scratched her neck. That was when I knew something was up. Well, besides the fact that she had multiple make out sessions with my crush.

"Gen, tell me," I demanded. She opened her mouth to answer, but someone was calling her name. I jerked my head up. This voice didn't sound familiar.

"Gen, who is that?" I inquired. Again, she laughed like something was wrong. I really don't understand her sometimes. Or at all.

A guy my age came bursting through the bush. He was red faced and sweating, but that didn't hide that fact that he was incredibly cute. As soon as I looked at him, I felt a buzz to through my body. If I didn't believe in love at first sight before, I did now.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"I'm Alleya," I replied.

His face light up and a huge smile crossed his lips. He came over to me and gave me a giant bear big, which kept me from breathing. When he finally released me I asked, "And who are you?"

He laughed and apologized for hugging me with out introducing himself. "I'm Nathan, son of Zeus." He held out his hand, so I took it and said, "I'm Alleya Hearts, but you already knew that. I'm a daughter of Athena."

"He knows we were on our way to save you. But I guess we don't have to now," Gen piped up. I turned around to face her. I was over the whole almost drowning shock that she was in and I totally cracked.

"How could you do this to me!" I demanded. She was totally taken aback by my sudden outburst.

"Kissing Percy! I mean really! You have a boyfriend. Besides, it's obvious I like him. I mean, why would you do something like that?"

Nathan laughed nervously and walked off to someplace that I assumed was camp, but I didn't know where I was right now. This wasn't like any other test the fish people have put me through. Something told me there was a glitch and they teleported me.

"H-how did you know about that?" She asked.

"When I was held captive they put me through some tests that were more like torture. One of them was watching you two make out over and over and over again. It made me sick thinking about what you were doing to Luke."

"Can you say that a little quieter? Luke is at camp if you say something to loud he might hear."

I threw my arms up in exasperation. "Even better!" I exclaimed. I wheeled around and stalked the way Nathan went to where I assumed the camp was; leaving her and the ground. I was so mad, I didn't even care right then.
