Chapter 22 - Continuation

POV August

"Where are you taking me?"

"Wait an you gone see, we're almost there."
I made sure that my hands were tightly covering her eyes as we walked towards her modelling agency.

Once we reached the open door, I quickly scanned the area, making sure that everything was in place.
I guided Alyssa to the center of the room before slowly removing my hands from over her eyes.

"Suprise!"

" August what's all this? " She asked, a massive smile plastered on her face as she realised what was going on.

"A lil party fo you an the baby. I know you been stressing bout this baby shower thing so I got India and sum of your friends to set this up."

"Aww, you're going to make me cry. Thanks baby." She quickly gave me a kiss before leaving to talk to her friends and family.
I took it as an opportunity to walk over to my homeboy Chris who was standing on the other side tryna hit up sum girl.

"Aye playa playa. What's good homie? "
I gave him dap, giving the girl a quick head nod before turning back to Chris.
He whispered something to the girl, making her giggle then walk away towards a group of girls.

"Nigga you know how I do. Play or get played, ain't it right? What's your big headed ass been up to?"

"Nun much my Nigga, just trynna provide for my wifey. " I glance over at Alyssa, a smile immediately creeping up on my face. Seeing her happy makes me happy.

"Man, she's got you whipped!" Chris exclaims, breaking me out of my train of thought.

"I'm not even trynna deny it cus I'm really feelin her forreal. She's got me in a different mindset and erthang. Right now, I'm trynna get out the game and prolly start music or sum." Just talking about her makes my heart feel some type of way, I can't even explain it.

"Ain't that right? That's good fo you, forreal I'm happy for you.
You think you gone wife her up?"

" In my eyes, she's already my wife but the ring is gone come."
I grin as I see Alyssa walking over to Chris and I.

"Aww baby, you got Chris Brown to come?"

" Yeah ma, I know how much you been feelin his music."

"Thank you for all of this, I really appreciate it. "

"You're all welcome baby. "
Chris clears his throat in the background, disrupting our little love scene. We pulled away from each other, turning around to face Chris.

"Can I help you? " I ask, jokingly

"Yeah, you can stop being all mushy and introduce me to the girlfriend. "
He replied, gesturing towards Alyssa.

"Oh, ight. Baby, this my homeboy Chris. Chris this my baby Alyssa."

"It's so cool to finally meet you. Karruche always talks about you when we're out."

Whilst Alyssa and Chris were talking, I noticed that my mom, sister and nieces walked in. I excused myself before going over to them.

"Auggie!!" All three of my nieces ran up to me, hugging my waist.

"What's good lil babies? "

"We're not babies uncle!" Kay shouts, getting defensive.

"Ite, lil mama."

"Don't you know how to pick up a phone and call your mother?"
My mom complains, walking over to where we're standing.
I search my brain for an excuse as she comes up to hug me.

"I'm sorry ma. It's been a lot up on my plate with Lyssa an the baby."
She eyes me up and down, a smile appearing on the corner of her lips.

"Hmm, boy you're lucky I love you."

"Speaking of a baby, where is this famous Alyssa that you're always talking about?" My sister questions.

"Right ova there, talkin to Chris. "
I guide all of them over to where Alyssa and Chris are standing.

"Baby, I want ya to meet the fam."
I hug her waist, whispering it into her ear.
Her face immediately lights up and she seems exited about the idea.

"Is this Alyssa?" My sister steps forward, deciding to make the formalities.

"It's really nice to meet you." She reaches her hand out for a handshake, gaining a hug from my sister instead.

"You're with August now, we're family."

After all introductions were made, I realized that my family took a liking to Alyssa and she seemed to like them too, making me happy that they clicked so quickly.

I excused myself from their presence, walking over to the bar to get a drink.

"What can I get for a guy as sexy as you?" The bartender smiled flirtatiously as she walked closer to where I was standing.

I decided to ignore her remark, giving her a small smile out of politeness.

"Lemme get a Henny, extra ice."

"Coming right up sexy." She winked, before swaying her hips to get a drink.
Whilst I stood at the bar, I noticed Alyssa walking towards the bar, smiling widely at me.

"Hey baby."

"Wassup? What's got my baby so happy?" I questioned, pulling her in to my body by her waist.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just made plans to go shopping with you're sister. She's really nice."

"I'm glad that you think that." I replied, placing soft kisses on her face before I gently grab her face, placing a passionate kiss on her lips.

"One drink for one sexy- oh" I lifted my head away from the kiss to see the face of the bartender, completely shattered. I guess that's what happens when you go after a taken man.
She slammed my drink on the table, giving Alyssa a death glare before walking away.

"What was that about?"

"Don't worry ma, jus a lil girl with a crush."

POV Alyssa

"Thank you guys for organizing this, I really appreciate it."

"It was nothing, I'm glad you liked it." India replied, smiling widely at me.

"Girl, I don't know bout you but all this gallivanting and organising is making my weave sweat out!"
Emmy just has to shout that, ruining the sweet moment in his own funny way.

After about an hour of socialising, it was time for me to hit the hay.
My feet were hurting, I was sleepy and I had strong cravings for seafood. There was no way that I could survive another hour of standing around and talking.

"You ready to go?"

"Yep, let me just say bye to your family. It'd seem rude if I didn't."

"That's fine, do you baby." August comes closer to me, planting a bunch of kisses on my lips.
His lips feel really soft and just having him around me makes me feel all giggly and warm inside, the way I felt in high-school when I first fell in love.
I can see that August loves me back by the way he looks at me, talks to me, holds me and even the way he kisses me. It's all filled with passion, sincerity and love.

"I love you." And I mean what I say.

"Luh you too ma."

After I had said my goodbyes and August, along with Chris had brought all the presents into the car, it was finally time to go and although I had a good time with my friends and family, getting out of here was my number one mission.

POV Trey

I stood at the very back of the hall, watching every move and interaction.
Just the thought of August makes my blood boil, and now I have to watch him take my position as Alyssa's man and as the baby's father.
Is it wrong for me to feel a strong love for her, even after I have agreed to India's plan?
