I woke up early in the morning. Before Jen, Demi or Conn- WAIT! CONNOR?! I glanced next to me to see Connor sleeping soundly, snoring softly. Awe he was cute when he was a sleep, I thought to myself. I crept out of bed and into the shower.
Boy did I need this. I let the water wash away the dirt and the fear from yesterdays adventures. I cut the water off and just stood there. I started to shiver so I yanked open the shower curtain and reached for the towel off the rack.
I opened the bathroom door and found my bag amongst the others and began digging through it. I grabbed my toothbrush, toothpaste, and my hairbrush. Then I dug out my jeans, a plain black t-shirt.
Right as I was finishing up, there was a knock on the door. I tiptoed over to see who it was, because Demi, Jen and Connor were still sound asleep. I opened it and Scott marched right in, making me stumble backwards some.
"At least you knocked." I murmured and he looked at me.
"We need to make a plan or something. We can't just live each day to the next motel Amy, we just can't."
Demi and Jen had started waking up but not Connor. No way would he get up before ten a.m on his own.
"Let us sleep." Demi and Jen chanted over and over again in irritated mutterings.
"Get ready guys we have to talk about some stuff." Scott said over his shoulder then returned his attention to me. His eyes caught sight of Connor sleeping in the bed closest to us.
"Don't even think about it. I'll wake him up." I scolded, rolling my eyes.
Scott rolled his eyes and said,"I'm going back over with the twins okay? I'll be back over here in half an hour."
"How many showers are in this room?" Demi asked.
"One."
She snorted,"Screw that, the three of us that haven't showered will take too long. Come on Jen let's go next door and get ready."
Jen groaned before complying and grabbing her bag. They headed out still yawning and rubbing the sleep from their eyes.
I sighed and walked over to the bed, crawling on it and sitting indian style in front of Connors' sleeping body. I reached out and poked him softly in the ribs whispering at him.
"Connor. Connor wake up."
No response what so ever.
"Get up sleepy head. We have zombies to avoid..." I whispered a little louder trailing off.
He moved his arm slightly to cover his rib cage. Silence washed over us for another moment before he muttered out,"That hurts."
His eyes were still closed.
I rolled my eyes,"Well if you actually got up, I wouldn't have to poke you."
He groaned and opened his eyes.
My eyes widened a bit as I said,"You look exhausted Connor."
He swallowed and replied,"I guess I kinda am. I haven't really eaten in two days and we'd been running around for three days when you picked us up."
I nodded slowly,"Well at least you didn't die."
He grunted,"Thanks for being blunt." and he finally sat up.
"What's their story?" I asked curiously about the twins.
His gaze met mine,"I guess it's really not my place to tell you...I mean it's their buisness not mine." He replied and I nodded.
"Sorry."
"Hey don't be sorry you were just curious."
I smiled a little bit,"Didn't curiousity kill the cat?"
He shrugged and looked thoughtful for a moment before ruffling my hair.
I frowned while batting his hands away,"Quit that!"
He laughed shortly and I poked his ribs while he wasn't looking.
"Ow." he muttered darkly with a scowl.
I rolled my eyes at his eypression,"Come on get ready. Scott wants to have a meeting next door for a 'game plan' I think."
He raised an eyebrow at me,"Game plan? It's a zombie apocolapse not a football tournament."
I threw a towel at his face,"Shower. Now."
He walked away grumbling something and I rolled my eyes.
Boys are so stupid.
